Maybe he's just a people pleaser. Some people are just like that and want to be likable to everyone so they say whatever works at the moment. It's really not a big deal.

But if you're having second thoughts about small things like this, then I think you already have some bad hunches about him. Never ignore those nagging feelings in the back of your head. Sometimes you can't put your finger on what's wrong but you know something is.

I'm not the best person for giving relationship advice because I don't have much experience when it comes to relationships, but I'll say if it's the first time that he's done something like this that is bothering you but in the past nothing of this sort happened then may be talk to him calmly why he did so...and explain to him that it bothered you and what he thinks about it.

Communicate to him.

Yes he is a major people pleaser, like I had to explain to him that it’s okay to set boundaries and say no (even to me). Like I’ve never heard him say no to anybody and especially not to any plans.

He’s a dear friend of mine since years, it’s just that this episode really pissed me off. Like I am the queen and need to be treated that way in public and in private 😎😆

How do you expect him to treat you like a queen in public when people are not supposed to know you're dating?!

In our friends group, we always knew who was dating and hiding it. Only they think they're successful. You can tell right away because there's a difference in how they treat each other compared to other friends. You aren't fooling anyone. 😆

That reminds me of uni days when two of my friends started secretly dating. The girl was always in love with my mate but it was unreciprocated. She made no secret of her feelings and was happy to stay by his side as friends.

Then suddenly I’d walk into the computer labs and she’d be resting her head on his shoulders. When I teasingly asked what’s going on, they both denied it. Nekminite she upgraded from sleeping on his shoulder to sitting on his lap and falling asleep while he continued to type on the computer - completely unfazed.

At this point I was like, really guys? He looked me dead in the eye and denied it. Then he looks down at sleeping beauty on his lap and proceeds to kiss her forehead, while I stood there like .....

Now they’re happily married with a newborn.
