When Mithi asked him ki Imlie ab is ghar mein kaise rahegi, tab bade tashan se bol diya ki "meri patni banke".....toh is this how a patni lives? Alag se on the floor? Yeh kuch alag hi interpretation hai of "patni jaise rehna"😕.
It's not even like he gives a damn about Malini ki he wants to avoid the divorce to keep her around....she's like wallpaper to him in that house....but bas yeh token cringe drama ke liye Madam ko pade rehne dena hai in T house toh aise hi chalega🥱. Adi is too indifferent/cowardly and Malini is too shameless/delusional....so this status quo will remain aise hi.
Seriously, why is Meethi or Nani not asking Adi why Imlie doesn't have the rights, privilege and luxury in his house like that of his second wife and mother of his child? Is that how he is fighting for the rights of his wife? Is that how he wants his wife to be treated in his house?
The CVs wants to milk the emotional atyachar that TRP audience root for and that is why Imlie is kept in a corner... but that is ruining their story and charactersThey are actually taking the audience to a point where, when they expose Malini in front of one and all, Adi would be standing as a bigger culprit of Imlie!
Divorce will be put on hold till baby birth... if they were going to go ahead with the divorce what is the need to keep Malini in his house? He could have accepted the baby, gave his name, decided to be co-parents and the baby would still be legitimate even if the baby is born during the divorce period or right after it... And legally, I think you can't divorce a pregnant wife.
Adi knows Imlie has major issues with Malini, Imlie has told him that Malini has openly told her about getting back with him and still he put her in a sensitive spot to decide whether Malini gets to stay in his house. And doesn't he realize that whether he calls Imlie his wife or Malini his wife... for the society and people outside his house, Malini is his legal wife and that actually labels Imlie his mistress. How much ever he screams at people that Imlie is his only wife, legally and in front of people he has married Malini and for them Malini is his wife and Imlie is someone he is having an affair with, or cheated on Malini with or someone who trapped him in a forced marriage. What respect is Imlie getting out of it?
And even if people accept Imlie as his wife then keeping Malini in his house, makes Malini his mistress and his child would be labeled the child of a mistress. So, how is keeping Malini in his house while calling Imlie his wife, going to legitimize this baby?
Just like how he had called his marriage with Imlie invalid and didn't do anything to dissolve it and went ahead to marry Malini, he is doing the same thing now. Taking the easiest route without thinking of the consequences.
