Palden really knew how to keep things beautiful in his act and I loved their contemporary acts the most, I wished Sanam learnt something from his acts about how to have the right balance of stunts and dancing. And their finale act was the best closure act especially for a fan like me that time. It was so beautiful but without going overboard. Whatever went wrong with him in season 2. 😪 He was a good super guru to have.

I think with Palden, it was mostly Masoom's magic Like in adla-badli he did emotional acts with Ditya and also with Ritik, but both didn't have any impact on me tbh. With Masoom, he shared a wonderful chemistry that always hit the mark ☺️ And I agree, their finale act was a visual treat

Honestly not Esha's fault at all in any of this but she wouldn't even get half the hate if the people around her knew how to train her. Every discussion around her starts and ends with food, that's it. I remember I was so excited when Sonali came in place of Ashish since I thought he would do inappropriate dance numbers like Nishant but seriously even Sonali has been a disappointment. She made ZERO efforts at teaching Esha how to feel a song to a point that all her dancing looked mechanical. Plus it really looked like Sonali was here to show her talent as a dancer more than Esha's. Which is really disappointing since she is so experienced. I've seen her instagram, she has been in the industry doing professional work with actors and all yet she couldn't bring anything on SD. All the acts were designed to elevate her dancing, the props were used to hide Esha's dancing and the judges just played along giving zero inputs to them. I also recently while watching their performances realized that Sonali is equally over the top and with extra energy that's really not needed in their style of dance and songs.

I still fail to understand the way the judges praised them after the belly dance on Sona Kitna Sona Hai. From which angle is it Belly dance? Sonali has tried to keep most of the acts this season into semi classical zone but absolutely forgot the most important part in Indian dance styles- The grace, the nazaakat and the thehrav.Their performances didn't have any. Like if I compare their Bharatnatyam performance on Sonali Bendre episode with Pratiti's Kuchipudi Jazz performance, just look at the crescendo, just because it's fast and high paced doesn't mean they have to dance according to the pace. Both Pratiti and Shweta take their time to complete the steps slowly while keeping grace intact whereas Sonali and Esha are just so busy trying to complete the performance that they hardly complete steps and other things in a classical dance.

Also this season, interms of the song and music, the western dancers were having the biggest disadvantage compared to someone doing Indian classical style or Bollywood or stunts. Music and song is obviously at the foundation of a dance choreography or even freestyle dance, if the gurus were given the freedom to choose their own songs, the whole season would have been totally different from what it is now. And even the seemingly weaker dancers would have made great great improvements. Imagine these young kids constantly dancing on slow 60’s unheard of songs which are not inspirational and there is no feel at all a… it’s just not fun.

Prithvi and Neerja are easily the best dancers from the lot. I would like it if Prithvi won but honestly Shubronil doesn't deserve it. Getting such a talented kid and taking him for granted, doing lazy choreographies... I'd rather not. Though I'll blame it more on the judges for encouraging him If anything, Neerja should win based on skills, but we all know that's not happening. I support Florina's win because after Pratiti and Pari, she's shown the most improvement, imo. I'll support Sanchit as well, but in my eyes, he's at the same level as his auditions for me. Same with Neerja and Prithvi, their best performance was in auditions.

Honestly the exact opposite for me, Florina's best was her auditions performance. After that I've felt that she's shown no improvement. All the Flotus performances look the same to me. Tushar as a choreographer just doesn't do it for me.I know Flo is young and it's difficult but we also had Pari in the same season doing miles better. Pankaj legit worked on her! Tushar's choreo is just so repetitive and boring after a point of time. Same is the case with Shubhronil and Vartika. Both are awesome dancers but they are not the best gurus. Bhawna, Anuradha(unpopular here) , Vaibhav (not this season though), Shweta, Pankaj , these people were imo the best choreographer as they were atleast experimenting with their kids.

Anyway it didn't work for any of them as dance was secondary this season, lol.

I know, it’s just sad, hip hop is about style and about having fun, through what means is anyone, suppose to be stylish and do hip hop on stupid songs like this. Hip hop dance is ideally done on hip hop music as they say and you should love hip hop music to love hip hop dance, in India obviously it’s not the case , thanks to Mahaan Bollywood and SD took it to another level all together by giving the worst of all songs

Esha's only mistake was admitting she loved food. They made a whole season of SD out of it Honestly I feel Esha has improved a lot after audition, especially her expressions, while still ott, are not comically ott now as it was before 🤪 And she's learnt to be more free-spirited now. I would not even have minded her winning the show if the channel hadn't intervened and overhyped her to the point that we started to look for reason why she was so praised and found none And agree with your point about Sonali, instead of teaching Esha to control her expressions and be more subtle, it seems she has learnt from Esha to be overly expressive 🤣 And her energy is all over the place, even in their last act.

I feel the same to some extent. In some ways it’s a sad thing because from my understanding Tushar mostly does new school, also he apparently did try old school in the second episode and flow does old school hip hop, she also does freestyle which is dance improvisation without any choreography. I loved loved her style and her dance in her first audition. Tushar was never the right guru for flow according to me, keeping aside the offscreen vibes. And recently when she danced on Mere Naseem in Hema Malini episode, she was more of Tushar than herself when she first came into SD. It’s sad because she is so young to realise and figure out what style she wants to do or learn and want to continue to do. As an adult one can decide based on your strength and weakness and your love for a certain style but when you are young and part of a show and you are taught by same person for a long time, in this case around six months, then your style changes and some how u end up adapting to the new style and imbibing what you see and what you are taught because you don’t know any better. I don’t know how she will turn out be post SD but i am saying this because it has happened with Rohan from DID, when he came to the auditions and danced, he really had immense versatility and he did quick style but he got stuck with the famous Raghav style, even got the name Raghav ki parshai, he also collaborated with Paul. Now all I see in him is a mix of Paul and Raghav. Which may not be a bad thing but there is also a thing about being able to discover your own self as a dancer and creating your own style, once you get habituated, it’s difficult to go back to a clean stale and I am afraid that might happen to flow. In that aspect I respect Sanchit because he has created his own style and is confident enough to stick to it and it will only get better from here for him. Lol long ranting… but I wanted to write this for the longest time lol after seeing Rohan in Dance plus 6
