But if it is for status and the Bachchan Bahu tag, then why would she leave him?

Many Bollywood actresses do this. They marry for status and/or wealth, not for love.

Yeah, I really think it was about being a Bachchan Bahu and the status for her. She may be fond of Abhishek but really do wonder if she loves him.

Abhishek benefits from his association with her as much as she does from the Bachchan part at the end of her name. If it weren't for his marriage to her he'd have been forgotten by the public long ago He gets visibility because of her and it wouldn't be a stretch to say Amitabh gets some too. So it's a trade off even if they don't love each other. They seem to be getting along and that's good enough. Love is overrated anyway.

Personally ,even though I find Abhishek likeable I can't imagine having to be around Paaaaaa and Jaya so along. One is a narcissist and the other one is morose. Crazy price to pay , but I guess there's no such thing as a free surname.

At this point, I’ve become so cynical after hearing rumours of cheating and open marriages, that I often question if any Bollywood couple actually loves one another. 🙃

Not sure. But I think Ash hasn’t gained anything by being a Bachchan bahu. Her career has gone nowhere

Even if she doesn’t want to do movies or whatever, there’s a lot more she can be doing

Aishwarya is a global icon. She is a renowned beauty in the foreign press, which I am sure, would come with better proposals from famous men.

Why would she desperately want the Bachchan surname, when her own name is much more famous than Amitabh Bachchan’s? 🤷‍♀️

Abhishek comes across like a suave and smart man. He would have given her many reasons to love him over the years.
