She checked all files once again. The lines on her forehead darkened. How could she never realized that her father was going through this much. This wasn’t possible. How could it be when her father never showed any sign of sickness. But his reports are saying some other story. Totally different from reality. She stood up and take her belongings before leaving the house. She made sure that she locked her small flat properly.

She wait for her bus on bus stand. Checking her wrist watch which was gifted by her father on her 20th birthday, that was two month ago.

The wheel screeching against her and she come out of her thoughts. With few other passenger she step in bus and in half an hour she reached her college.

She was tensed and all smile vanished from her beautiful face. Her sparkling hazel eyes lost all its charisma.

“Geet….” Her classmate saw her and wave her hand to greet.

She glanced at her and smile but it’s wasn’t like before. “Hi sheetal.” She greets her as well.

“We are going for drama selection. It’s our final year so professor Goyal asked for volunteers. Would you like to join us?” She asked but Geet denied.

“No no. I am not feeling well.” She denied.

“Geet is everything okay? You are looking different today.” Other girl of her class noticed her tension and asked.

“Yes I am fine. Its just my head is aching.”

“Oh. Then you should have take a day off.” Another one suggest.

“No, I have taken medicine. I’ll be fine.” She assured and all other girls left.

Geet is 20 hear old girl. Full of life. Studying in final year of college. She is happy go girl and her life going smoothly, till the day her father got a stroked and admitted to hospital. And she found out that he needs a surgery which means lots of money. Her father a lower level employee at Khurana Industries. His salary is enough for their needs but now this surgery and medical expanses took a toll on her. She got another shock when she found out that they have no savings. Her father’s account is empty. How is it possible? Her father is never a extravagant then where the whole money gone? Her head is aching but no answer she got as her father was in ICU. Only he could tell her where his all savings gone.

It’s a race against time. She needs to collect funds as soon as possible. Because doctor gave her an ultimatum that she don’t have a much time to decide. They need to do surgery and too very soon.

Geet don’t know from where she get such a big amount. 3 lakh for just surgery plus costly medicines and hospital’s charges. In short she needs at least 5 lakh.

Strangely his father’s medical insurance is also expires. She got to know that he didn’t pay a premium from last three months.

This all seems like a nightmare. She wants it to be a nightmare. So that when she opens her eyes, this dream is over like a dark night. But unfortunately everything was real. Bitter reality.

If her father was going through so much financial crises then why he never ever share with her anything. She will support him. By doing a part time jobs. Now what she will do. This one question disturbing her again and again.

Geet attend her classes and left for hospital. Though doctor not allowed her to enter in ICU. But she wants to see her father. So she just saw him through door window.

“Miss handa you here? I hope you arranged the money.” Doctor saw her and reminded her about the surgery.

“I am trying doctor. Just give me little time.” She pleads in full voice.

“As you wish. But your father don’t have much time.” He said and left from there.

Geet asked for help from few relatives but none have such a huge amount or better say none is ready to give such a big loan to her.

“If I sell my house then it will also a long process. And I need money right now. But I have jewellery. Papa k locker me. Yes.” She got a little hope.

“Ronnie when will you be free?” She called someone.

“What happened baby?”

“I want to go bank right now.” She told him.

“Okay don’t worry. I’ll be there in 15 minutes.” He assured her.

Ronnie drove actually fast and picked her up. Both reached to bank but another shock was waiting for her. Locker was empty. Jewellery wasn’t there.

One after another shock is waiting for her.

“Geet you said you keep jewellery here. Now what?” Ronnie looked tense.

She held her head as it’s spinning badly. Ronnie quickly held her before she fell on floor. “I just don’t understand where our all savings vanished suddenly.” She was very tensed. No hope was visible now.

Ronnie took her out of the bank. He supports her so her limp body couldn’t met with ground as her legs shaking badly.

“Geet calm down.” Ronnie tried to console her.

“Ronnie I don’t understand what’s going on. How can this be possible?” She asked him something which he didn’t know.

Ronnie took her to some restaurant and ordered coffee and sandwiches for them. “Ronnie I don’t want anything.” Geet was upset.

“Geet please eat. You need energy to fight with this situation.” He trying to boost her.

“Ronnie I couldn’t find anything to save my dad.” She told him in regretful voice.

“5 lakhs is huge amount and I just start a job. My boss will never give lend me a huge amount.or else I asked for a help.” He showed his helplessness.

“I know Ronnie its not your fault.” Geet dating him since last year. She truly love him and he start doing job so they could marry after the completion of her studies.

“Everything is so out of hand and I don’t understand how.”

Same time her phone rang. It’s from hospital so she quickly answer the call. “Miss Geet your dad got his conscious and he wants to talk with you.” Doctor informed her.

“Yes doctor. I’ll be there in 20 minutes.” Geet left her half ate sandwich and picked up her bag to leave for hospital.

“Hey baby what happened?” He asked with concern.

“Doctor call me in hospital. Dad wants to talk with me. I have to go.” She said.

“Okay wait. I will drop you.”

“No Ronnie it’s your office time. Please don’t upset your boss because of me. I’ll manage.” She assured him.

“Are you sure?” He a asked again. And she nodded. “Okay take care.” He said formally.

“You too.” She kissed him on his cheek and left in hurry.

Geet reached hospital and met with his father. “Dad.” She took his hand in hers.

“Geet I am sorry beta. I know you are thinking where is our all savings gone. My child I am sorry. Few months back I develop a hobby of gambling. And in rush of making quick money I lost my all savings. I thought if I double my savings, I will do your marriage on a large scale. But unfortunately I lost everything. Even out home too.” He revealed and now Geet got all her answers. Infact she got one another shock that their home isn’t their anymore.

So even if she wants to sell it, she doesn’t have an authority to do so.

“Dad why?” She is crying seeing his condition.

“I am sorry Geet.” He apologized. “Geet I have few days left. But before dying I want to see you get married.”

“Dad please.” She felt weird for this strange demand.

“No Geet. I want to see you settle in life. Someone who will take care of you after me.”

“Dad I want to tell you…” She wants to tell her father about Ronnie but her father didn’t let her.

“Geet I know you will marry a boy of my choice. My boss Mr. Maan singh khurana saw you last year. He likes you and ask for your hand. And I said yes to him. Please say yes.” He actually forced her to yes to his boss proposal.

“Dad please. Not this time. It’s not a right time to discuss all this.” Geet doesn’t wanted to give her father an unnecessary stress. She understood that her father already selected a boy for her. But she love someone else and this is not the right time to tell him about her lover.

“No Geet. Please say yes. Please.” He was pressurizing her.

Geet was in turmoil. How could she. Same time doctor came there. “Excuse me Miss Handa.” He took her out of the room.

“Miss Geet. Your father condition is not good. So please don’t give him a stress. And please do hurry for his surgery.” He cautioned her.

Geet nodded and left. Whole night she was thinking about the marriage proposal her father threw at her. But she love Ronnie. From where this Mr. Khurana came into the picture. “When that pervert see me?” She asked to herself.

FLASHBACK :

Geet was very excited today as she was going on trip of goa with her college friends. In morning her father forgot to take the spare keys with him. So she straight went to the farmhouse where her father just visited his boss, Mr. Maan singh khurana. The most eligible bachelor of Delhi and president of khurana Industries.

His father needs his signature on some file so he called him at his private farm house.

Geet called him and got to know about his whereabouts. So she too went there to give him keys.

Maan is horrifically wealthy and incredibly influential. He’s also a very busy man and a hard man to please.

The moment she entered through a large gate, her eyes caught her father. She rushed to him and saw Maan so closely. Before that she only heard about him. Either from her father or from media. He wore a polo t shirt, fit his body to perfection. Maan was tall, at least two, if not three, inches over six feet, broad-shouldered, and visibly fit. He had a strong profile, with sharp cheekbones and an aquiline nose. Perfect in all sense. Capable to rose any girl’s heartbeat.

He was busy in playing golf that time. His focus was fixed on his target. Like always. Maan is very focused. No matter what. Anything he do, do it with dedication.

Geet rushed to her father. “Dad here is your keys.” Without wasting a time she quickly handed him keys.

“Geet… My boss Mr. Khurana. Say hello.” He whispered.

“Hello Mr. Khurana. I am Geet handa. RP handa’s daughter.” Geet introduced herself. She stretched her arm to shake hand.

Before that Maan was ignoring his surroundings but her voice chimmed in his ears and forced him to glance at her. He slanted his neck and lost his focus on the game. This was the first time he missed the target.

Her flawless and creamy white skin, her curly hairs cascading like a spring, her sharp aquiline nose, and beautiful hazels spell bound him in a moment. Isn’t that he never saw a beautiful woman before. But there is something in her which made her different from others. Maan took her hand and shake softly.

“Maan.” He introduced himself only. Not a wealthy person with the tag of ‛The Khurana.’

“It’s nice meeting you sir.” She formally discarded his hand and left from there.

Maan’s eyes fixed on her till she disappeared in her cab.

FLASHBACK ENDS :

Geet got her reply. “So there Mr. Khurana saw me. Now how I get rid of him?” One question but no reply at all.

So geet is in hardship due to her father he loose his all wealth even jewellery and all in gambling which he developed .Geet has no idea regarding his father gambling habbits.She loves ronnie so when her father told her truth he demanded to see her married before he dies and demanded her to marry his boss Mr MSK .Now geet dont know where Mr MSK saw her.And wants to find a way out from this man who saw her once

Loved the update geet was worried about her father's health and was in need of arranging money for her dad's treatment...geet was really shocked and worried to know there was no any saving and jewelries in bank ...only her dad can give answers to this shock well after her gets conscious she got to know the reason why were they left like this and was shocked to know that her house is also not their own anymore.. her father wants to see her get married soon that to maan singh khurana who already liked geet at first glance meanwhile she is already in love with Ronnie what a twist waiting to read more ❤️
