Keerti's character name is Shweta in the OG. Janu sent her for higher studies to the big city after this incident.

In the OG Krish doesn't get arrested for this. He only gets slapped and Kathir (Shiva) slaps Janu back, Meena gets angry and fights with Kathir and berates him.

This happened in the initial days of their marriage.

Krish's character gets arrested for a different reason for no fault of his when all the 3 brothers and SIL's come together to get him acquitted.
