Pickle kuch pages pe I think producers discuss ho rahe hain. I don't love Ekta's shows, but I always vouch for her capabilities in her profession. She stood her own in a male dominated industry and there's a reason why her actors adore her. She treats her cast and crew well and I recall one interview where she spoke about the difference between her male and female actors - tab se I've admired her as a producer. She said TV mein the audience looks up to the women while the men are just eye candy. Films mein the audience looks up to the men while the women are just eye candy. Khair, yeh hai toh bohat purana interview, but it goes to show the thought process with which she ran her shows and always gave her females an edge. Every time one of her male actors threw a tantrum, she paid no heed because she knew they're replaceable.
Gul ki writing repetitive hai. Gorky's (her husband) writing is far better, I find. She replays the same angry-young-man characters and bechari abla nari female characters who are always stammering and stuttering. She doesn't have an eye for talent either the way Ekta and Sikku do. Her female lead opposite Barun in IPKKND 3 was not a good match for him at all, lekin zabardasti show banana tha toh bana data jaisa taisa bhi.
I think gurti were NP ki find and not Gul ki.
Her team that time was very strong. Agree with you on Gorky and ekta and sicku.
