After reading through a few replies on this forum, it feels people have really got impressed with the fact that this isn’t a typical ITV show with an abuser ML, docile or outspoken FL who is out and out too beautiful and sexy, permanent vamps, extra marital affairs, etc.
Well I do totally agree on this but what I am unable to fathom with the fact that people aren’t able to digest that this show also has a different story format. Different format in terms of fast screenplay just like a meaningful n crisp web series (with some editing glitches), no MU b/w leads and no typical vamps. Talking about it point by point, I feel a fast paced screenplay is not something that’s bothersome for me, except the poor editing skills and incomplete scenes occasionally. Nor is the clear identification of vamps in the show. But what’s bothersome for this show is the story build up. Although expressed many a times by forum members, I believe a quick communication and clarification of MU, especially b/w leads isn’t going to prove beneficial for the show and it’s ratings. It’s important that Leads have some kind of MU for the story to progress. Ofc it shouldn’t stretch like a typical ITV soap opera but still all MU being cleared instantly makes you feel disinterested in watching the show considering and hoping the show is going to last for a long time and gain good viewership on TV and online. I don’t mind them using the age-old and no logic concepts like prenup provided they fully justify its use in shaping Ram and Priya’s bond.
Coming to the episode today, I believe, if utilised properly, the show can now build a good story. Why because both Ram and Priya have some insights to each other’s life. Plus, we know that come what may, Ram isn’t a typical ITV ML who will get abusive, arrogant, spineless and controlling on the FL after marriage. He has shown enough humility and respect for women so far, unless makers decide to butcher his character. He’s caring and understanding. Even though Priya is totally of opposite nature from him yet he now understands that there’s a reason for her behaviour. Plus he respects the fact that she agreed to marry him for her family’s sake just like he did. The only issue is he might get emotionally carried away. Now that prenup is in picture and that idiotic Mahender Sood has spiced up the loan drama, both of Ram’s family and friends, excluding Brinda, are in favour of Ram signing this prenup.
As far as Priya is concerned, she’s slowly observing Ram’s respectful and kind nature. She will obviously take more time to understand him considering she carries a reserved personality due to her past experiences. But somehow the makers have ensured now that Priya knows about Ram’s humility, especially from today’s episode where he convinced Priya’s mom about peacefully dealing with their marriage in future and making him understand Priya’s past, life struggles and broken heart resulting in her rude behaviour.
What’s interesting to see now is how this prenup is going to change their lives after marriage. Ram, in precap, has promised and assured his mom that he won’t change after marriage come what may. will he continue to remain quiet in the name of his “so-called” family above Priya and her morals? He also won’t forget Vedu so easily. How will he slowly value Priya more than Vedu? Plus his friends too are against the concept of Priya being the right match for him. How and when will they understand that Priya is the one, with the traits she has, who is actually going to secure their loveable friend?
