Shiva came home after a hard day's work and made himself comfortable on the first vacant spot he could find. He clutched his head in his hand and sighed as the throbbing continued. His head had been hurting for a while and Gaumbi had sent him home to get some rest.
"Arreh Shiva, tu aaj itni jaldi aagaya? Kya hua?" Dhara asked as she spotted him sitting in the aangan.
Shiva looked up at her and smiled. "Kuch nahi bhabhi. Sar mein thoda sa dard horaha tha aur Gaumbi ne ghar bhej diya. Kehne lag gaye ki mujhe rest ki zarurat hai."
"Sahi toh kaha ussne. Tu acche se sota nahi hai issliye tera sar dard horaha hai. Itna kaam mat kiya kar." Dhara chastised. "Main tera sar daba deti hoon. Tujhe aaram milega."
A sudden wailing from upstairs broke them out of their conversation.
"Bhabhi, isski zarurat nahi hai. Aap jaiyye gudiya ke paas. Main theek hoon." Shiva shrugged his shoulders, nodding his head towards the room where the crying was coming from.
"Sahi keh raha hai Shiva. Aap jaiyye Dhara di. Tara aapko ro ro kar pukar rahi hai." Raavi giggled as she came into their line of sight. She had been listening on in their conversation, waiting for the right moment to make herself known. Her eyes landed on her husband, making them light up in happiness instantly.
"Aye Dhara, bacchi kitna ro rahi hai. Usske paas kyun nahi jarahi?" Suman yelled, coming out of her room. This was enough to send her running off. Suman watched her run away, muttering some infamous phrases under her breath.
"Shiva, chal tere sar par maalish kar deti hoon. Dard kam hojayega aur phir tu thodi der aaram kar lena. Dinner ko abhi time hai." Raavi offered while Shiva continued to refuse.
Raavi huffed in annoyance before grabbing his hand and dragging him to their room. She knew how stubborn her husband could be, however, she beat him at his own game more often than not.
Suman watched the exchange in front of her with a fond smile. She prayed to baba Somnath to always bless her children with joy and togetherness.

Once inside their room, Shiva locked the door swiftly and Raavi watched him in curiosity.
"Darwaza aise lock kyun kiya?" She asked.
"Ab jab tu mujhe yahan le aayi hai, toh main koi disturbance nahi chahta." He answered with a smirk.
Raavi blushed when she saw the glint in his eyes. She knew what must be running in that devious mind of his. "Ghoorna band kar aur aakar yahan baith. Mujhe isske baad mein bhi bahut kaam hai."
Raavi took a seat on the newest addition to their room which just so happened to be a small sofa. Shiva came forward and sat on the ground in front of her, making it easier for her to massage his head.
As soon as Raavi's hand made contact with his head, he leaned back into her touch, enjoying the feel of her soft movements slowly easing the thumping headache. He felt lighter already.
After five minutes, Raavi couldn't help but use this opportunity to run her hands through his luscious hair. It always looked so soft and silky and whenever she tried to get a feel of those smooth strands, Shiva always ended up swatting her hand away. He was overly protective of his hair. She felt like chuckling evilly as she mussed his hair in different directions, relishing the feel of his dark locks against her skin. She wondered what it would feel like to grab onto his hair as he...
Her thoughts were left unfinished when she felt Shiva grab her hands. "Ae chipkali, yeh kya kar rahi thi tu? Sirf maalish karna hai, mere baalon ka tehes nehes nahi karna hai." He immediately started setting his hair straight while Raavi pouted. She massaged his head for a few more minutes before another idea struck her.
She let her nails softly glide over the back of his head until they reached their destination. She grazed her nails slowly over his neck making him flinch in the process. Shiva turned around to shoot her a warning glare. Raavi feigned innocence and resumed with her shenanigans once he turned around again. This time she targeted his earlobes and she saw him stiffen immediately. Going back to her old targetted spot, she ran her fingers over his neck as she watched him squirm under her touch.
Shiva snapped. "Ae gadhedi! Tu mera sar dard theek kar rahi hai ya badha rahi hai? Yeh jo tu kar rahi hai na usse band kar de."
"Kya kar rahi hoon main, Shiva?" Raavi asked, widening her eyes for dramatic effect. She knew he wouldn't admit it as she observed him standing up from his position. He was ticklish, especially in that particular spot, and ever since she had found out, she never left the chance to annoy him with this information.
Shiva, growing tired of her assault on his neck, sat beside her and swiftly laid down on the couch, with his head laying on her lap. To say Raavi was surprised would be an understatement. Shiva gave her a smug look.
"Shiva, uth! Yeh kya kar raha hai? Mujhe abhi bahar jakar khaana banana hai. Time waste mat kar."
"Tujh par nazar rakh raha hoon taaki tu mera faayda na utha sake. Chal ab dabati reh. Dinner mein bahut time baaki hai."
Raavi narrowed her eyes at him and his bossy nature but when he closed his eyes at her touch, she fell into a trance. As she slowly massaged his temple with one hand, the other played with his hair, and this time, he didn't stop her either. She observed his long, fluttering eyelashes which looked oh so beautiful on his handsome face. Her heart skipped a beat as her eyes trailed over his perfectly sculpted jaw paired with his defined nose. She gulped deeply before slowly letting her gaze wander over to his lips which looked a little too inviting. If only she could...
She broke out of her stupor when Shiva opened his eyes.
Shiva observed the blush spreading from her cheeks and creeping down her neck. When she refused to meet his gaze, the corner of his mouth quirked upwards. He reached for her head with his hands and started pulling her down towards him, startling her in the process. Her long tresses fell over her shoulders and ended up brushing against his face. Slowly pushing the hairs away from his face, he leaned up towards her, his eyes flickering towards her lips. Raavi's hands moved down to clutch onto his shoulders when someone banged on their door, making her sit upright once again, much to Shiva's utter dismay. He scowled at the door in distaste.
"Oh bhai, Raavi dikri, tu andar hai kya? Kitni der se main tera intezaar kar rahi hoon lekin tu bahar nahi nikli. Aaja apni maasima se mil le." Prafulla cooed from outside.
When Shiva saw her open her mouth to reply, he quickly silenced her by placing his palm upon her mouth. Raavi tried to remove his hand but only received a warning look from his side in return.
"Ae maami, woh chipkali yahan nahi hai toh apna yeh loudspeaker lekar bhaag ja isse pehle main bahar aaun." Shiva shouted, hoping she will leave them alone.
"Aise kaise nahi hai? Abhi abhi Dhara ne bola ki woh waha hai tere saath. Ae rakshas tu meri phool si bacchi ke saath kya kar raha hai haan? Sach sach bol varna main-"
"Aye kaagdi! Dur hatt mere bacchon ke kamre ke saamne se. Dikhai nahi deta darwaza band hai. Aise kaise kisi pati patni ke beech tu chillane lag gayi. Bas unnke beech taang adana chahti hai na? Tujhe aakhri chetaavni de rahi hoon, mere bacchon ke khushiyon se khilvaad mat karna. Ab tu waapas ghar ja. Raavi ko hum bata denge tujhe phone karne ke liye. Ab ja." Suman thundered. Prafulla ran away sulking, as her plan to disturb Shiva and Raavi went to waste.
Shiva chortled hearing Suman's voice as Raavi ripped his hand off her mouth.
"Aisa kyun kiya? Mujhe unnse milne dete na." Raavi whined.
"Yeh mujhe bhi pata hai aur tujhe bhi ki woh sirf humme disturb karna chahti thi. Lekin agar tujhe abhi bhi unnse milna hai toh main tujhe personally unnke paas chhodh kar kal aaunga. Jitna time spend karna hai, kar lena." Shiva gave her a knowing look.
Raavi shuddered at the thought of spending time with Prafulla. She loved her maasi no doubt but everyone knew how overbearing she could be. These days she was out to poke her nose in between their relationship as well which didn't sit well with her. Raavi shook her head fervently as she spoke. "Nahi nahi. Isski koi zarurat nahi hai. Main unnhe call kar lungi."
Shiva laughed at her answer making her jut out her bottom lip in a cute manner.
"Waise ek baat bataun?" Shiva asked.
"Kya?"
Shiva grabbed Raavi's hands with his own before replying. "Tere haathon mein sach mein jaadoo hai. Mera sarr dard chala gaya."
"Accha? Uss din jab maine tujhe yahin baat ko admit karne ke liye bola tab toh tu bada akad ke mana kar raha tha." Raavi quipped, her eyebrows shooting up in question.
"Aaj ki baat alag hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki inn haathon ko thank you bolna chahiye." Shiva slowly rubbed the back of her palm with his thumb, observing the multiple fleeting emotions on her face.
"Bol kar dikha, tabhi main jakar maanungi." Raavi said, not anticipating his next move.
"Bol kar kyun? Kar ke dikhata hoon na?" He didn't let her think much as he swiftly sat up beside her and let his lips descend upon her palm, peppering gentle kisses over its expanse, starting from her fingertips and moving up towards her wrist.
Raavi stared at him spellbound as she shivered under the feel of his touch. His lips left a scorching trail of fire everywhere they touched. He slowly dragged his lips up her forearm, paying it ample attention before switching over to the other hand, repeating his ministrations upon her soft skin.
"Shiva..." His name left her mouth in a whisper and he looked up at her with the utmost tenderness. He cupped her cheeks and leaned forward when another bang was heard on their door. This time it was Krish, and he wouldn't stop with his yelling.
Shiva groaned and muttered a string of curses. To Raavi, it was hilarious and she started giggling at the frustrated look in his eyes.
Hearing her soft, airy laughter, Shiva couldn't help but release all of his frustrations as he watched her mesmerized. At that moment, he decided to steal his wife and take her away from Somnath for a few days to spend some time with her uninterrupted. A confident glint appeared in his eyes as he pecked her cheek and finally let her go. The cogwheels in his head turned and he started planning straight away.
