Jackie Chan arrives in Chennai!

Jackie Chan, the world's biggest action hero arrived by a Singapore Airlines flight on Thursday evening. His host Oscar Ravichandran has done the impossible and made his critics eat crow by bringing Chan to Chennai. After a red carpet reception, at the Anna International airport, amidst tight security, Jackie Chan and his 10-member entourage were taken to Taj Coromandel. An entire floor of the hotel, where Chan's suite is located has been sealed off. A battalion of Tamilnadu police are giving additional security to the actor even though he has his private security guards.

In the evening, Jackie will be attending the grand audio launch of Dasavatharam along with Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Mammootty and other dignitaries.

Finally the long awaited soundtrack of Dasavatharam will be released today😃 I have waited for this in many months now😭 They actually paid 5crores to Chan to attend this function😲

ha.. they actually paid jackie chan 5 crores just for this? that's really quite lame. why don't they just invite someone like shah rukh khan or amitabh bachan for the music release? they are far bigger superstars than jackie chan is in india.

Leena, actually big B was there along with other big stars like Mammooty, Hemamalini, Vijay, Mallika etc. I dont think they are trying to attract the indians, but overseas..thats why Jackie Chan...and its believed Kamal have tried many of the Chans stunts on the movie 😃

Karthi- yup, people were irritated over this matter...after all the big bhanda for the launch...I thought the songs were great...was so dissapointed now

I think Jackie would have agreed to do this for one reason - and just this reason only. (well of course money matters a little, but before Rajini's Sivaji, wasn't Chan the highest paid actor in all of Asia?).

That he'll get to meet his sexy (ex) co-star again. Adadaa.. wasn't he the one who praised Me.Sherawat as the sexy Indian alive, a few years ago?

Anyway, the trailor is supposed to be cool. But oru mannangattiyum puriyala. Each shot was like a micro second. Before one's mind registers the shot, it disappears so quickly. But one thing I remember is, Kamal looks sooooo young with that short hair style whenever he appears with Asin. Reminds me of that young Kamal character in Indian.

And I think Oscar producers just wanted to beat KalaiPuli Dhaanu - b'cos KalaiPuli.. was the king in his novel marketing efforts until this (mega effort by bringing Chan and a horde of other stars for this event).

Ayyo.. when are they going to release the movie.

neengaluma?😆😆 ..thats what I thought when I heard the songs...they could atleast used Yuvan or Vidyasagar for Gods sake...why that Himmesh Reshammiya??😕 that song "uzhaga nayagan" is similar to that "ya ali"😕

anyway....Mallika wear also short dress like Shriya did on Sivajii function😉 but I havent hear anything yet from the "culture police"😆
