True… We first need to acknowledge that if u have achieved gr8 success, that itself is a huge feat …it takes intelligence, grit and hard work (much like achieving success in any other field)

But somehow there is no respect for the people who made it here …they either sold out, slept their way through , are cheating or into drugs …kyun bhai? Koi rule hai?
all these accusations of “murkiness” as if we all live in a highly pristine society ….it’s no murkier than our day to day lives tbh so I don’t get this sense of judgement around the disillusion that fame and success give ….

If most of us are able to lead decent lives as decent human beings in all this, surely they can too

easy access to money, drugs, sex makes it easier in bollywood. Did anyone even imagine someone like Deepika would be taking drugs? Madhur bhandarkar only showed the reality behind the glitz and filtered images

I know women should are routinely beaten up by their husbands they drink. Men and women sleep around in the corporate world too. Even housewives do sleep around if THEY WANT TO.

There’s a reason why India is unsafe for girls in general and more unsafe even during daytime on Holi.

You really think this happens in BW? Or people are bound to get corrupted once they enter the industry?

Poor and middle class people cheat as well - they just do it with less glamorous people in less glamorous settings. And without the media to report on it If they they don't cheat with as many partners it's usually because they don't have as many opportunities or choice. It's not because they're inherently more moral or ethical or that their marriages are stronger or better.
