I recently started watching Anupamaa and I am loving the track of Anuj and Anupama.
Just thought of penning down few of my imaginations about this cute couple!
First time writer here!
Please excuse any mistakes!!
A normal morning - A MaAn Oneshot
6:00 am
A tall well-built man with a charming face walks out of the kitchen with a tray of 2 steaming hot tea cups in his hands. He walks towards the bedroom. He enters the bedroom and goes next to the bed, on which a lady, in her mid-forties is sleeping. He gently shakes her.
" Duniya ke liye sooraj aasman pe aagayi, par mere liye, teri aankhein hi sooraj hai. Please meri din ki shuruvaad kara do" ( I suck at shayar type sentences so maaf kar do)
Upon hearing these words, the sleeping woman sleepily laughs and opens her eyes to see her husband Anuj Kapadiya
"Aap subah subah shuru hogaye"
She gently brings herself to a sitting position and puts her arm around his neck. Anuj adjusts her hand on his shoulders and brings her closer.
" Good morning Mrs. Anupama Anuj Kapadiya"
"Good morning Mr. Anuj Kapadiya"
He smiles at her and asks her to go brush her teeth and come to have tea. After she gets up and goes to the restroom, Anuj selects a track suit to go for his morning run. Anupama quickly freshens up and comes out of the restroom to see Anuj changed into his tracks and making the bed. They both have their tea. After having tea, Anuj leaves for his morning jog. Anupama quickly takes a bath and goes to the kitchen to help GK kaka in preparing breakfast. The menu was South Indian today, so GK kaka was making the batter. She went and took his blessings and they together made sambhar, tomato chutney and upma. She also toasted some bread because Pakhi loves toasted pbbj in the morning. Since today is Friday, she wanted to make something that her baby girl likes. Pakhi spends her weekends with her Grandparents and Father, while she spends the weekdays with Anu and Anuj. Though no parent would want such a childhood for their kids, this was the only way that they could ensure that both parents are involved in the upbringing.
After preparing breakfast, she goes to Pakhi's room and wakes her up.
"Utho Pakhi, time ho gaya hai... College nahin jaana hai kya?"
Anupama opens the window screens and shakes her up.
"Do minute mamma", comes the reply underneath the covers of the bed. Anupama drags the covers out.
"7 baj chuki hai...aur tujhe aaj 9 baje ka lecture hai. Tujhe time pe pahunchna hai ki nahin?? Chal uth"
Finally, she wakes up and goes to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
Meanwhile Anupama goes and picks out her saree for the day and Anuj's suit and tie. This is a routine that she loves to do and Anuj loves this gesture.
Anuj returns from his morning jog and goes to take bath. Anupama prepares for the morning Pooja.
"Mummy "
"Mummy"
Anupama hears two voices at the door and sees Kinjal and Nandini entering the house.
"Jai Shri Krishna Mummy" Both of them wish. Anupama gets up and hugs them both.
"Jai Shri Krishna mere bachchein. Kaise ho donon? Sab theek hai. Kinjal, Ghar pe sabh teekh Hai na? Ba , babuji, mamaji, toshu air sab log?".
"Haan mummy, sab teekh hain. Jaise kal raat the, jab aapne phone kia tha, waise hi achchein hain"
Kinjal replied chuckling.
"Aur aapke poochne se pehle bathadoon ki Samar bhi Ghar pe teekh Hai. Uska office mein meeting hai subah subah, isiliye nahin aa paaya. Kal aayega aapse milne", Nandini told Anu.
Samar and Nandini got married few months after Anuj and Anupama got married. Samar and Nandini had taken a vow that they will not get married until Anuj marries Anu. So, as soon as MaAn got married, Anupama arranged their marriage. They moved out of the Shah house, as Samar couldn't tolerate Vanraj. Kinjal still stays there, with toshu, but Toshu is yet to come to terms with his mother's marriage hence he doesn't come too see her often. Babuji and Kinjal always come and visit.
At 8:00am, everybody assembles for pooja and Anupama does the Pooja. After Arthi and prashad, everyone sits for breakfast and serves themselves.
Anuj: So, Kinjal, tumhara Naya venture Kaisa chal Raha hai??
K: going good Anuj papa, we have gotten a few more clients this week.
Anuj: Chalo, that's good. And how are the dance classes going Nandini. I know ki Anu ab uthna time nahin de paa rahi Hai (winking at Anu. She blushes).
N: Ache chal rahein hai Anuj Papa, but bachchein mummy ko bahoth miss karthein hain.
Anu: Toh main aaoongi na, weekend pe aaoongi na!
N: Haan mummy patha hai. Par aapke Toh humein har din dekhne ki aadath ho gayi hai. Kya Karen.
Everybody chuckles.
Pakhi finishes breakfast first and gets up.
P: Maa late ho rahi hai toh mein fataafat bag pack kar leti hoon. Anuj papa, aaj drop kardenge college please?
Anu: Are kyoon? Teri pass Toh scooter hai na, jiske liye tumne hamara sir kha li.
GK : Are, jaane de na use beta.
P: Are mummy, 9:00 baje ka lecture hai aur main abhi late ho gayi hoon. Anuj papa drop kardenge toh wo teacher daantenge nahin kyunki papa sambhal lenge 🙈.
Anu(to Anuj): Bigaad rahein hai use.
Anuj: Are choti bachchi hai, aur college mein toh tum bhi late aathi thi. Mein gawah hoon. 😏
Anu: Are ab uske liye...
P: Mumma... already late ho chuka hai.... Anuj papa jaldi chalo na...
Anuj : Haan chalthe hain. Anu, see you in the evening. Bye bachchon. Bye kaka.
K and N : Bye!!
K : Achcha ma, mein chalthi hoon, office mein urgent kaam hai. Baad mein aathi hoon.
She hugs Anu and Nandhu and leaves.
N: Mummy, aap mujhe academy drop kardenge. Samar ko aaj car ki zaroorath thi.
Anu: koi baath nahin beta, mein drop kardoongi tujhe.
GK : Beta, tum saadi change karke nikal, mein baaki ka kaam kardoonga. Tujhe der ho rahi hai.
Anu: Teekh hai kaka. Mein jaathi hoon. Aap aaraam se office jaayiyega. Aur aapke subah ki dawai mat bhooliyega.
GK : Haan Haan beta, tum jao.
N : mein help kardoongi mummy.
Anu : Teekh hai beta.
Anu quickly changes into another saree and takes her bag and keys. She drops Nandini on the way, at the academy and drives towards the hotel for her daily inspection and check in.
While driving, she reminisced her life and how it has changed. From a world revolving around just the household, it has now become something filled with passion and independence. She came out of an abusive relationship and went into a relationship filled with warmth and love. Though her children and other family weren't that accepting of her relationship, finally everything turned out well. She mentally sent a thanks to her Kanhaji. She parked her car in the parking area and entered the restaurant part of the hotel to start her work day.
