Dekho before gul, ekta had shown lot of rich type hero. & people used to love them for their swag & all. But people were not obsessed over garibi, daru & all. During pr days, people used to cry for stylish sari though archana was a character who lived in a chawl. But they didn't complain like if you don't give sari we'll quit or without dhang ka sari she won't be archana. Those were pretty harmless cribing. But idhar log for daru, parisa are ready to forget basic characterisation. For some RR is just a good looking angry rich young men with a good body.
I can precisely say this started with a certain ASR and the rest is history.
