He has a beautiful wife who loves him so deeply that she will not survive if anything were to happen to him. And his mother will also break down if he were to get hurt so it is really not worth to take these kind of risks.

Till now Raghav was able to do his business in crooked ways by evading customs because no one got hurt but now one young life was lost because of his tactics. Is he willing to go on this path knowing that ACP laxmi might be equally ruthless if another courier person of Raghav is caught. Raghav cannot continue this - i hope his conscience wouldn't allow him to do this anymore.

Yes I don't want Raghav to be all white - Let him be ruthless to his enemies, to Sunny if he ends up hurting Keerti or worst Pallavi, To anyone who threatens his family but he better not risk any other innocent person's lives in his greed to save few lakhs.

Interesting and well thought through take and I love such thought provoking writeups.

But for Raghav to die a Ravan death would be a tremendous pity.

Pity, because I am a romantic at heart and want Ravan/Raghav to undergo the Agnipariksha and emerge a worthy, virtuous partner to Pallavi. She deserves no less and nor does he!

It's an interesting post Anushkhaa... but I beg to differ.

Ravan was a pure demon king. His subjects afflicted atrocities on the innocent and hapless souls. He was so drenched with pride that he didn't see anyone before him. He mocked his own brother, Vibhishan coz he didn't share his ideologies, was a devout and complacent being. A led his whole kingdom to war and let his progeny and brother die to keep up his pride and satisfy his inflated ego. Yes, he had a vindictive sister but he had killed her husband in war. He abducted Sita, held her captive, mentally tortured her and threatened her every single day. He bowed to lord Shiva for power, but he was so thankless that he didn't deter from eyeing Parvati, wife of his Lord!

Yet Raghav, with all his imperfections is not an evil incarnate. While Ravan pushed his family to extinction, Raghav will kill and die the one who threatens his people. He can swallow his pride, ego and self respect for his family. He makes mistakes but is human to realize and make it up to that person through actions and not words. He forced Pallavi into marriage, but never crossed his limit... redeemed himself and let her make her choice. Raghav doesn't mock his people. He even protected Deshmukh family from their own son. He bows to God, not seeking power, coz that he yields himself but his devotion is subjected to the one he loves. Life threw challenges his way and he lost his path... but not his heart. His anger is a shield that he uses to guard himself but that has not turned him bitter to another soul. For his sister, he is also putting up with Sunny.

I agree with everything you said Fria. I also get why Raghav wants the money. My limited point was right now the way things are and the way Raghav is, he's going to feel the burden of the guilt on his head. It won't let him sleep peacefully.

He has to decide what he wants to give up. The need for his power and wealth or having a peaceful and content life.

Just an anecdote here, I was a very ambitious person until 3 to 4 yrs back. When I sat back and started reflecting, I wasn't happy. I realised that growing the ladders at work isnt giving me happiness. I wanted time for myself, my family, a little less stressful and more fulfilled life. I don't know if I'm making sense to u. Your life experiences can change your beliefs and your dreams and aspirations.

Raghav isn't the same 17 yr old boy who was abandoned. He has his family with him now and he needs to adapt. He needs to chose a safe way to conduct his business because it something were to happen to Raghav I can't even imagine what would happen to Pallavi.

Yeah for sure agree about that. I also was really driven and now I just work to make money to fund the lifestyle I want. For me it's less about achieving certain career goals nowadays (( have two more left and then I'll be completely satisfied) and more so achieving work-life balance/ having a job that can fund my interests and can let me be financially independent. I 100% get that. I just think both Raghav and Pallavi seemed to get a lot of fulfillment from their careers. That's actually part of why I liked them as characters. And I think that's part of why they connect so well to each other too. So I just don't want them to get rid of that drive. He's not even 30 yet lol, definitely has not hit the peak of his career. Its just pure speculation at this point obviously, but I just don't want them to sideline that in the name of making him less, materialistic, let's say.

Yeah he very much needs to adapt. He cannot live the same way he used to when he was alone. 100% agree about that.

I somehow think he needs to be reminded that often. For a person who only knows how to give love and give it till he is bled dry, not experiencing any care or affection since a tumulous and painful ten years, constantly demeaned and humiliated and having his heart broken..... it is very difficult to accept the fact that someone can love him so much that his ruin might destroy another human being.

He needs someone to tell him that again, a few times more, drill that into his thick skull... that now his life his not solely his own. His suicidal tendencies as we have seen... ready to shoot Mandaar and get a life imprisonment sentence, ready to shoot himself dead... just proves that he has no qualms about throwing his life away for the one he loves so desperately.

Arre, koi usse bhi toh bataye ki him dying would automatically kill the very person he is trying to save. He doesn't do it intentionally. That's how these past ten years have made him. Self destructive and no hope for receiving love in the amount he can give.

If only someone could make him understand that, he'll stop taking such huge risks --- obsession, survival tactic, desire, passion or not.

@bold:

Yeah I agree. I mean his insecurities are deep. No matter how much we think he should be secure in his relationship - the fact of the matter is his relationship with Pallavi is very new and has barely started. He's got 10 years of issues to work through before he can stop his insecurities from getting him into bad situations.

Farhad in reality is the only person whose love is unconditional ❤ ♥ 💕

While I understand what you're saying I wouldn't necessarily say that's the case with Raghav. He may not get unconditional love from his family but his love is always unconditional, whether it's for Amma, Keerit, Pallavi, or Farhad.

I would love it if they did get Farhad in trouble or he takes the fall for Raghav. I think he has it in him to do so for his Anna.

True. But this how her character is being written for a while now. The dialogues given to her add more to the confusion. Nothing can be done. I am really curious to know what will she ask of Raghav once she learns the so called truth of Abhishek's death?

I expect her to give him an ultimatum. It would be uncharacteristic of her not to.

Raghav won't make him a scapegoat but others might, or he might sacrifice himself for Raghav.

It's high time we got to see their relationship go through tough times where Raghav goes mad trying to save Farhad or vice versa. He was there for Raghav in all his good and bad moments and his loyalty is to be admired endlessly.
