Bapuji really a well wisher of Anupama ?

First of all I don't understand what Anupama is doing in shah house after divorce ? Dholakia & toshu both taunted how wife & ex wife life together in vanraj shah( which is right ).

Dolly is real daughter of bapuji will ask dolly also stay in ur husband's house stay here only with me ? Or stay with u ex husband only & see him romancing his new wife , bear taunt of his new wife .

Bapuji says Anu is his daughter , he keep giving gyan to everyone then why he want to tie anupama with shah house ? How will Anupama heal by day night seeing romance of Vanya infront of her , when shah family excluding samar kinjal mercilessly humiliate anupama he mostly mute spectator.

Which father will want that his daughter don't get heal with her heartbreak . Anupama don't say it loud that doesn't mean she is ok with everything.

If Anupama moves out of shah house then she will heal & grow faster but bapuji want Anupama still in d house to serve them why ? Is his wife can't look after his medicines & other household chores , kavya is his bahu ask her to do things .

I heard from someone in Bengali version even he ask Anupama to remarry vanraj but thankfully Anupama refuses . I m doubtful that he will let Anupama marry Anuj .

Only samar & Kinjal r true supporters of Anupama .

Thinking about it practically we know that ex wife and wife needed to be under one roof to keep the story moving and maintain some spice in it soo to make that happen the CVs butchered a character there.

While in the show it makes no sense why bapuji will make her stay there when he himself knows what awful people his wife, son, new daughter in law and grandson are.

His insistence on making her stay there while he hadnt kicked his son out or made any efforts to make sure that she will be comfortable and happy here was just at the very best downright mean.

This isnt the first time they have tried showing a daughter in law staying with her ex in laws after divorce. Baalika vadhu did that wayy before when the audience wasnt accepting of this a lot. But there lies the difference. Bhairo and sumitra treated anandi like their daughter and had practically raised her like one right from the beginning. And even though daadi saa loved jagdish more than baa here loves vanraj she did a complete turn and to a large extent supported anandi. It was much harder on daadi saa to kick jagya out than it could have ever been for baa to kick vanraj out.

This entire family is used to having anupama working like a robot without a break and without a single complaint.

Bapuji at the very most behaves like a man who is polite and decent to the house-helps.

Giving her a part of the shah house did not even seem like a big deal to me. He knows perfectly well that all he needs to do is use some emotional manipulation to get her to happily sign the house back to him.

I havent seen the bengali version soo cannot comment on that one. But i think he will support anupama marrying anuj.

Apart from making her stay after divorce and staying silent all those years before vanraj's adultery came out he has been a wellwisher for her.

Lol bapuji se 10000000 times better Muje balika vadhu ki dadisa and bhairon lagte hai jinho ne unke ghar ki innocent balika vadhu ke liye Jagdish and gauri ko ghar se nikal diya ⭐️ Anandi ko pure sanman ke sath after divorce ghar mai rakkha, dadisa ne acche se accha ladka anandi ke liye dhundha and shiv jaise acche ladke ke sath khushi khushi Anandi ka dusra byah kiya!

Shah family se kayi zyada selfless and progressive toh Muje rural village ki dadisa and bhairon lagte hai!

This show is way more regressive than most iconic show balika vadhu !

Log change hote hai , sudharte hai, dadisa toh Leela se age mai kahi zyada badi thi fir bhi change hui, progressive bani and Anandi ke liye jaise dusra acha jivansathi dhundhna toh unka maksad bann gaya tha!

Age is just an excuse . Kisi episode mai anupama ne kaha tha ki iss umar mai Leela change nahi ho sakti ! Kyon nahi ho sakti? Agar dadisa jaise age wali lady change ho sakti hai toh why not Leela!!!!!

I can’t comment on what Bapuji has been like previously cause I just started watching the show now but from what I’ve seen he’s just a pawn like character...He is there for the filler dialogues that provoke reactions from Baa & co.

That said, no matter how liberal or supportive of Anupamaa he seems to be he will not like or entertain a romantic relationship between his ex-bahu and any guy... Anuj just happens to be her classmate. Such are their egos!

He can talk about treating women equally and all that stuff but deep down he will be irked by the thought of seeing Anu with another man, Vanraj mein Bapuji ke kuch toh genes honge, it can’t be all Leela😆

She clearly does. Her excuse is that she is just an orthodox old hag with a jet black heart that has no scope for change at all. But dont blame anupama's baa 😭. She is just old 😭. The poor dear. I already have an obituary prepared for her death. All that is left now is for the old baa to die asap.

Daadi sa still had her moments of immense love for jagya and it pained and broke her heart when she saw him in pain and lonely. And it made her all the more human. Because she was in constant battle with her mind and heart. Where she knew her dearest grandson's happiness lies with anandi but anandi's happiness lies with shiv. The emotions were brilliantly portrayed and brought such a depth to the show and the plotline.

Baa here is modern enough to let his son live with both wife and ex wife but not modern enough to think about ex-daughter in law's (who she calls a daughter) well being?

What century are we living in? I sometimes wonder if this lady would have gone all out and would have asked anupama to perform sati had vanraj died without his cheating being find out. I wont even put it above the evil hag.

Agree! There are like lots of flaws with Bapuji's Pyar for his so called daughter.

Dolly is clearly younger than Anu, so she might be still studying or working when Anu married in house. I remember one scene where Anu was recalling that she wished to continuing her studies but wasn't allowed and was pulled in with house work and Toshu. Where was his support for this Beti back then!

He being elder male figure, would always been in highest authority but what is the use.

I have stated this before, but he just silently witnesses others abusing her and later he provides sympathy. What is the use of such so called support when you have capabilities to make her life easier but won't do a thing!

I don't even want to start on that emotional blackmail to make her stay back.

Even now, not even once did he thought that after some years when Anu's children would been married and settled ... She will be all alone without life partner. While the Anuj's topic is around, why doesn't he mentioned - that there is nothing wrong in settling down and get married again. And move on.

Would he have wanted Dolly to spend half her life alone?

Hasmukh Shah comes across as a very benign man. He treats those around him with respect and is able to relate to all age group. he filled the void in Anupamas life created by the untimely demise of her father.

He maynot be a man of affluence but in his own way empowered Anupama by giving her a share of his house and rights of the Karkhana as he understands her selfless nature. He realised that it would in a sense safeguard her interests should Vanya make her life hellish by alienating even her children.

We have seen the events when Paritosh is ready to marry. What transpired till then is seen in retrospect some time or inferred at others. We are not shown how the bond between Hasmukh ans Anupama was strengthened but we see it is one of mutual affection, respect and care.

We realise P1 arrived the year after marriage so one doesnt know the reasons cited for Anupama not pursuing her studies.

Women are raised hoping they find a good match and are SETTLED in life. The contention could have been what is the need.

Anuj being who he has become can speak of women empowerment knowing he might lose money but for the shahs it was not an easy life and Vanraj started early to support the family financially.

Most Indian men only get involved in decision making modes and not in the planning and implementation of how the home is run .

He is not the control freak his son is. He gives a reality check but does not thrust his views on anyone. which is commendable as i have seen from close quarters domineering men.

We dont know what he has in mind when he says the regular visits of GK and Anuj will strengthen ties.

Whatever the reason it was not to tie down Anupama to a life of servitude that he asked her to stay back.

Vanraj and she are separated but not the children and Anu or he and Anu.

The affection with which he treats Maamaji and even Kaavya for that matter makes me think he will prod Anu to find the love that was missing in herlife.

I came to this forum because I saw a few clips on insta where Anupama is giving befitting replies to Vanraj and His mother.

Then I saw your post.

You are right actually. But if I try to understand him, it might be his thought process that he wants Anupama to have a place which she can call her own. He has a house and he gave Anupama her share so that nobody has the right to order her out. Maybe he didn't want to tie her. He just wanted her to have a place she can call her own.

But truth be told, the ideal situation would be Anupama living separately with Samar. Both mother-son together would be better, away from the toxic family. But for the drama sake, they all will live together
