The aura of Dev

I think I have already read a post regarding this in the forum but I have lost that so commenting it here again. Sanjana's infatuation with Dev is a lot like how Sona was in the very early stages (well of course, except the creepy obsessive side). She was lost in her imaginations of Dev, all smiles and dreamy eyes, mesmerized with his business man self, and how he was with his mother and sisters. Only later (after the break up and in earnest a few days after their marriage) did she start being introduced to the grey and black in Dev. His anger, his temper, his possessive side for his family, his ignorance and unreflective nature, his affinity towards surface solutions, and of course his deeply problematic relationship with his mother. It's impossible to see and understand these characteristics of Dev under the aura of his personality that people see from outside. That is what Sanjana seems to be falling for, or rather that is who. I hope she can find out truly about who dev is. Maybe from sona only, who knows? But I would love to see them interacting because sometimes distance can give perspective.

I agree with your post that Dev has a certain charm that women like, and Sona also fell for it the same way. She didn't cross boundaries like using his perfume on herself and all. But yes.

But, Sona was introduced to his rude and ruthless side right from the beginning. He got her fired from her job, pursued her relentlessly for his own benefit, yelled at her, fought with her, interfered unnecessarily in her life and was generally obnoxious to her. She only melted after she was introduced to his mellow side slowly, when he waited hours to get her back and when he stopped his life to be with her after her accident. She saw his possessive side also, as he was suspicious of Neel, chased away that arranged match, Kushal. She just didn't realize he was being possessive. So Sona fell in love with him after knowing several of his colors.

Sanjana has only seen his helpful side. That is it. She has really not seen Dev's other shades at all. Which makes sense, because she has literally known the guy for 4 days. And thinks she is in love 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sona's falling in love with Dev was gradual and so natural. She saw a softer side of her Mr. Obhodro when she started to see the reason for his rudeness. When he got her fired, she was furious. Sona thought of him an entitled, selfish man that can go to any length to make something happen.

When she started working for him, she saw a man that will go to any length for the people he loves- a man that operates out of fear and concern. Her opinion of him wasn't wrong- but she fell for Dev because of these flaws, and not despite it.

Bijoy had a strikingly similar opinion of him in the beginning, but he was floored by Dev who financed the education and marriage of his peon's daughter.

I actually don't think sanjana and sona are similar in any way. here's why

Sona gradually fell in love. She had ample time to know dev. Of course she didn't know him completely before loving him but she did know dev. He opened up to her, she knew what he thinks.

Sanjana doesn't know dev. Not even the good side. she is in love of the idea of dev which only she is aware of, that idea is not rooted in dev or any person. She doesn't "love" him either she's just infatuated. Dev isn't a person to her.

nothing about dev no bad side will dissuade her because dev is not a living person with choice for her. its almost an objectified doll, everything dev will do will be a fault of someone else. dev hasn't chosen to be with sonakshi in her head he's being forced in this relationship.

Falling for him seems easy actually... I mean he has good looks, money and is polite enough with strangers as well.

The tough part is staying with him.

Despite all the efforts shown by him in the last week... I still don't see why/how Sonakshi is still with him. He just doesn't deserve her tbh. I will always have this opinion...maybe even after watching the previous seasons.

She is calling it ISHQ. But it's not, it's just an infatuation.

She is infatuated with the idea of DEV, the perfect guy, who writes love letters by hand, rushes to rescue her, stays up late night to look at her presentation, gives her red roses, loves her food, etc. Everything else that doesn't fit in with this idea of Dev, like his marriage, his love for his wife, his kids are neatly cut away from the picture of Dev.

Objectified Doll is what Dev is right now. Perfect in all ways, the imperfections simply erased out of sight.

Knowing of all his faults sona is deeply deeply in love with him. She has always been the one to forgive & forget on all major occasions. Though she claims to be an independent women she is also a woman who is still madly attached to dev despite how he treats her.

She is a true enigma!

No words for Sanjana as you guys have said it all. Hopefully this infatuation doesn’t take a dangerous turn.

That's her flaw I guess....blind in love.

Sana is cute...she has that bubbly vibe going for her easily. She is good looking.
