Since SP used to be about Saloni's hard time finding a husband because of her darker complexion. I was just wondering how you all feel about marrying or even dating an indian of a darker complexion including an african or an african american. Personally, I think that love has no shape or form and is a beautiful thing no matter what the color is. Rajshree portrays that excellently.😉 😛

PS: If people comment on this and you don't agree with what they are saying please don't argue with them because it will start a fight and I don't want this topic to be closed.😭

Now post on people!!!😃

i might sound ignorant or dumb... but i never knew about the dark complexion thing in india... i mean i have a preety light complexion so ive never been in a situation where ppl are like "ur not good looking cuz u r dark"...

then i started watching saath phere and was shocked to learn how people with darker skin are treated differently than those with more of a fair complexion... it was also funny how subhra was considered more "preetier" than saloni cuz of her skin color (i always found saloni better looking)... so bascially ntn has changed for me after watching saath phere as i never based beauty on skin colour... '

srry if i didnt make sense

its true that people do check on the skin colour....my father says that its all the british influence...as we were under them for quite long ....people back then considered that fair-looking people have an upperhand and they wanted they kids to be so...and when not able to do it with ur kid...they would expect the daughter-in-law who would come home to be fair...thats how it started....but even to this day u can see the difference....
that a nice topic that wheather we will date a dark peron....although the description for a prince charmin is "tall, dark, handsome"....but if u ask me...i may say that i may give a second thought before dating a dark person....cos we will know abt the charater only after we get associated...
thats my opnion....

I agree it is a fact that the majority of individual equate fair individual as being more beautiful and better looking than dark-skinned people. Some believe it is to do with the effect of the british inflence.

There is the saying that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Individuals by the influences in their life has preferences. Some individuals would find dark-skinned people better looking than light-skinned people.

We must remember also that beauty is also only skin deep. Eventually some-one who is horrible loses their attractiveness, even though they might be physically perfect to a stranger.

While some-one who may start-off not being attractive with knowledge of character and behaviour becomes unbelievable beautiful.

I believe every-one is beautiful no matter what shape, colour and size they are.

However, people by their behaviour and attitude towards others makes people loses their self-confident as well they start to loses their self-esteem and may start to believe they are unattractive.

awww bless, well dats nice to hear that ur husband doesn't consider skin colour as a barrier for falling in love or getting married. however, the same can be said about walks of life, beliefs, cultural and religious backgrounds, sexuality, wealth and maybe religions are topics that many consider a barrier to two people falling in love or gettuing married.

i believe that two people having an understanding and trust on one another is the key to a successful relationship including the fact ignoring what others say (if they say sumthin negative) because we cannot control or stop people from making nasty comments but we can ignore them!!!!

wot does every1 think?

it's weird na?

here in european countries everyone (i dont really know about the others .. it s in the netherlands) wants to be dark .. for example; its summer .. everyone lies on the beach to be darker becuase they find apneaap ko white.
and there .. in india .. people buy lightning cremes etc.

so .. i think tht we should be gratefull to God that God wanted us to be dark/white skinned. So thats why we are!
