Hey everyone,
Amidst the separation, the one thing that I miss the most is the fun Shivi banters lol. I thought Dahi handi would’ve been perfect for some chipkali-bhootnath trash talk. But there only seems to be drama.
Though I have a very limited imagination when it comes to actually trash talking, I still want to write a version of the scene before I watch their version and get disappointed again. Not a writer; so its mostly just dialogues.

Shiva and Raavi stood against each other, waiting for Dev to start the competition. But he seemed more interested in advertising the bike and getting everyone to dance.
“All the best, bhootnath.” As is sporting, Raavi gave him a cursory wish. If she was honest, she didn’t really care about winning the bike. Rather, her only goal was to make Shiva lose. No matter how irrational. So she tried to agitate him so he would lose focus. “I hope tu haarne ke liye ready hai.”
“Tuj jaise chipkali mujhe haraegi? Jisse zameen par chalna nahi aata, woh dahi handi phodegi. Mazak acha hai.” Shiva scoffed back. Like millions of other times, he knew that Raavi only participated to annoy him. In her single-mindedness, she didn’t care about herself. But he cared too much about her to see her hurt and wanted her to back off. So he decided to annoy her too. “Yeh dahi handi phodna teri jaise chipkali ki bas ki baat nahi hai”
“Shayad tujhe pata nahi, meri shadi ek bandar se hui thi.” Raavi reminded him of their marriage. “Haan, yeh alag baat hai ke mujhe bohot late realise hua ki woh actual mein ek bohot bada gadheda hai! Par uske saath rehte rehte, thodi bohot bandariya mai bhi bann gayi. Toh aaj toh yeh bandariya hi jeetegi.”
“Tu bandariya nahi, akal bina ki phoolkumari hai. Itne saalo se dekhti aayi hai ki kaise chot lagti hai. Phir bhi, bina kuch soche samje aagayi” Shiva tried to make her understand.
“Tu sirf apni chot ki chinta kar. Har baar ki tarah, iss baar mai tera khayal rakhne nahi aane vali.”
“Khayal rakhna?? Tujhe sirf chudail bann kar mere sar par naachna aata hai.” He replied back, incredulous at Raavi’s claim. Dhara Bbabhi took care of him. Not this chipkali.
“Haan, jaise tu kam bhootnath bann kar ghumta hai jab mujhe kuch hota hai.” He was taken aback by her comparison. He supposed it was true. Annoying each other to the point of distraction was their way of showing concern for each either.
It was this concern that prompted him to pull her towards and explain once again. “ Dekh Raavi, ache se samjha raha hu. Haath pair todne se behtar hai ki tu chup chup peeche hath jaa. Mai tere mazak bilkul nahi udaunga.”
Raavi was a little surprised at the obvious concern in his voice. It seemed like he still cared about her well-being. Then why would he do all those things and act all indifferent? Regardless, this was not the time to think about all of it. But maybe she could twist this competition into something that would give them both another chance.
With half a smile, she declared, “Aaj yeh Raavi kisi bhi wajah se peeche nahi hatne vali. Toh, once again, all the best mere bhootnath.” She repeated her earlier wish with a slight twist. “Haarne ke liye ready rehne. Shayad issi mein teri jeet hogi.”
She struggled to free her wrists from his tight grip. Shiva was still stuck at her subtle way of claiming him. He let her go and saw the fire in her eyes. Suddenly, there was more at stake than the bike. He didn’t know how the outcome of this competition would affect their relationship. But he did know, he needed to get to the top before she could climb too high. That was the only way he could ensure that she wasn’t hurt.
“All the best, tujhe bhi chipkali. Aaj ke competition ka winner bohot kuch decide karega.”
With that, he stepped back and began prepping again. Maybe they both could win together.
