Raavi was being taken to the Bada Mandir for a Maha Shiv Puja. Unfortunately, a landslide occurred, trapping a bunch of vehicles and blocking out the whole roadway. Raavi's parents didn't die so easily. They slowly bled out and used their last breaths to encourage and soothe Raavi. When they stopped speaking to her, Raavi wailed and cried for somebody to come and help her but no one did. The heavy boulders began weighing down on the hood of the car, making Raavi curl underneath the seats. She waited, whimpering in the darkness for help to arrive.
It did, nearly one day later.
Raavi was taken to the hospital. She had sustained a few brain injuries and severe trauma from what she went through.
Badi Raavi:
Raavi developed difficulty sleeping at night as she gets horrific dreams. Her therapist claimed she was reliving the same tragic incident but Raavi isn't so sure. The dreams keep changing but there is one constant factor: somebody keeps dying.
Her aunt Prafulla doesn't like how Raavi keeps getting medicines prescribed and starts looking for more religious solutions to her problems. Raavi isn't interested in any of them. Seeing all the Babas and their adbhud ways makes her even more terrified. She shares the same with her uncle and he suggests she see another therapist.
Raavi paints as part of her coping mechanism and has her own exhibition. She mostly paints in abstract style. Her best pieces have been the ones where she drew her nightmares.
Shiva:
Shiva's a criminal investigator.
He goes to an art exhibit to buy a housewarming gift for his older brother and wife. Seeing some of the paintings makes him curious as they remind him of some of the cases he heard about.
He looks over the cases and is shocked to find the striking similarities between the crime scenes/victims and the paintings. He goes back to the exhibition and demands to speak with the artist. Has a suspicion that the artist either has intimate knowledge about the murders or is the killer themselves.
Is instantly smitten by Raavi's beauty and soft demeanour. Changes his tactic and approach to dealing with her. Doesn't believe her words about these images coming in her dreams; thinks her to be crazy, just needs to find concrete evidence of her being the murderer.
ShiVi:
Raavi appreciates Shiva's practical approach to life. Given the horrors he has seen during his time on the force, it makes her feel less damaged. As she spends time with him, she begins to feel deeply connected with him and even feels herself falling in love.
Shiva's suspicions on Raavi keep growing and part of him knows that the methods he's using aren't by the book. But she's the only solid suspect he's been able to find in these cases and he's going to get justice for these victims no matter how many lines he will have to cross. Whatever affections he may be developing for her, he buries it deep within his heart so that his judgment doesn't get clouded.
