5 more months is not a big deal as long as there is no more MUs between them. Whatever they have now can slowly be solved and lead to realization.

In the OG KM had only one MU between them and the separation was also short lived. Mullai also came back only because Dhanam called but it was Mullai’s birthday and the family wanted to celebrate together, Also Mullai was not angry at Dhanam and other family members when she left the house like Raavi is now. Mullai’s anger was all on Kathir only.
Here Raavi is angry at everybody and anybody. She is not ready to listen to anyone. The depth her character requires is severely lacking. The writers are not paying attention to het at all.
So if she comes back for Dhara, what happens to her self respect now
