Nanna sounds very similar to Nana right (Nana means Mom's Father in the north)...that's why they changed it to Appa as people wouldn't get confused even if they miss episodes that Appa means his Father..I totally get why they did what they did.

Arre u don't get point.... Telugu word for father is not familiar hence they use Appa not Nanna
So rest people get he is talking abt father...
Becoz Nanna is similar to Nana in Hindi which means maternal grandfather...
I did not see his audition completely.. what I saw made me realize they always wanted a Krishna Rao story.. because he mentioned a man huring his father and brother… not a girl.
that girl is another layer… if word is to be believed then this will be another plot twist…

Actually, I am also one of the audience who got confused on hearing "Nanna" for the first time🤔 Me and my mother had a full fledged convo on why Sitara was showing the translation of "Nanna" as "father". Then we're like it's great that we're getting to learn new words😃 Appa toh bohot shows mein suna hain, MHRW bohot naye words sikhne ko mila❤️
