Anupamaa & Anuj backstory?

I have seen pretty much all the episodes since it started - 99% sure. But i am trying to recall what do we know about Anuj so far? because some media portals seem to tag Anuj as Anupamaa's lover, or ex boyfriend, or her crush. Or few comments are like when did Anupamaa go college. So lets get this all straight....

I do seem to recall first hearing about Anuj during the dance performance of Anu, Devika and Samar/Pakhi/Toshu on Hawa Hawaii.

Devika mentioned him first i belive and that Anuj had a crush on Anupamaa during college (or was is school) and he was going to propose to Anu (or bring a marriage proposal) but Vanraj family got their first and in asking for her hand etc. And she dropped out of college for marriage.

Am i right in think this is what was said and happened? Was he mentioned again or was that it?

In the original version Anuj used to love Anupama from college days. He also proposed Anupama but Anupama was very shy and nervous to reciprocate. Later Anupama got married and Anuj left for abroad. Anuj could never get Anupama out of his mind and stayed unmarried all through his life. He built a house on Anipama's name and dreamt to once take her to the house. After he saw Anupama after so many years he decided to give her a better life.

What I remember Anuj anu ko one sided pyaar karta tha aur V'Day wo apni maa ke kangan laya tha anu ko propose karne but anu uss din school ayi hi nahi and mean while Shah family ne Anupama ke liye rishta bheja aur Anupama ki agge kipadhai karwane ka promise kiya aur baad mai apne wade se mukar gaye 😡 so basically Anupama ke liye Anuj ek dost tha par Anuj ke liye Anupama usska pyaar thi

So Anupamaa and Anuj were friends back then, I always got the impression when Devika was telling the story that a guy from afar liked her and they knew of him…

I like how Anuj wanted to get his mum’s kangan to propose - sweet.

Apparently I did try and find out what date this was, it was literally like a year ago Anuj was mentioned (around the 11th August 2020 date)

What happens in sreemoye.....is anuj a long lasting charater

I am glad in the promo, they put a flashback of what Devika said about Anuj, and Anupamaa past too
