Anyone know the significance of why Ishqi was not given a last name in IPZN before her marriage to AVM? Initially I thought it had something to do with Ishqi-AVM's differing views of modern and traditional thinking. While AVM seemed very attached to his 3 names and keeping up his family name, Ishqi was just Ishqi and being herself.

I think thye wanted to show that Ishqi is modern, feminist but is orphan and did not really have a family thus no family name. She will get her real family with Ahaan, will become Malhotra and learn to adjust with family. On contrary Ahaan was all about family thus mention of "Malhotra" many times.
