They are glossing over her failure as a mother so far. Dunno for how much more longer will they keep making her like the mother of the year for Bondu.

I can understand why Bon is so blinded because.. jo bhi ho, maa hai uski and the only family she has but even after Sumati goes all - you're dead to me, etc in the future, I won't be able to accept Bon's blindness.

Either sumati will be too dependent or too bold to force her decisions. Either will be too traditional or too advanced sometimes. She has forgotten her daughter's age. Else everyone want their children to get married as soon as possible and especially 90 years ago. (Of course she also want Bondita to marry chandrachur) She didn't carry responsibility in relationship but want the fruit of relationship
