They all do what they do well enough to have a bunch of people arguing about them on the internet. So pretty well.

Seriously BW rewards actors for finding a niche and then “perfecting” it. I don’t think any of them have really tried to act for any extended period of time. They may dip an occasional toe in the huge wild ocean but then head right back to the safety and comfort of their swimming pool. They just perform some version of their public persona over and over again. That’s what they get paid to do - for better or worse that is what their audiences expect and pay to see. And they deliver* - or we wouldn’t still be talking about them.

SRK is the weak link here. His performance was totally pedestrian, and in some key emotional moments, he ranged from underwhelming to downright cringe. It does not help that his acting tics have aged poorly, and the Rahul-Anjali arc is not well-written to begin with. With the possible exception of Dilwale--which I have not seen and don't plan to--this is the worst SRKajol pairing and performance.

Hrithik more than held his own opposite Amitabh, but he was unquestionably better than SRK. That said, this movie is saved mostly by Kareena -- who remains the most memorable part, and has aged much better than perhaps intended at the time.

Hrithik is same in almost all movies 😆

Especially emotional ones like these.. Hritik and Kareena were so bad.. though Kareena’s OTT acting made it iconic.

Your take is brutally honest but it's true. And it's not only limited to actors; actress have done the same. When ever they venture into uncharted territory they don't see the same level of success they retreat. It's on us as audience to start expecting more and not mediocre...

Barring lakshya, super 30, Fiza and Agneepath.. I find him terrible.

They (producers and directors as well as actors) should adjust their fees (salary and distribution) and budgets for less mainstream films. It's what many Hollywood stars do. The old mantra is do one or two for the studio/audience, one for me. Then those films while being artistically fulfilling/stretching would have a chance to also be financially successful or at least break even.
