Chapter 3
ACP Dhruv Sinha: Currently temporary ETF chief and trying to fill in the shoes of Rathore. But can he? Sweet by nature and good to his juniors. Friendly and calm approach to everything.
After the crime scene visit all entered the conference in different temperament except Arjun. Arjun angrily walks inside his cabin not paying any heed to Dhruv. Chotu Shree and Riya were scared for the upcoming scenario they will have to witness as Arjun's anger and frustration was very evident.
Dhruv once he took his seat searched for Arjun but nowhere was he seen. He then gazed at the juniors for an answer and Riya nervously started "Sir woh Arjun sir ka thoda mood off hai issiliye woh nahi aaye."
"Hmm.. Baat aage na bade wohi theek hai." Dhruv stated.
Here Arjun sitting in his cabin was looking out of the window, carried away in his own thoughts. Today was the first case to be solved with Dhruv and nothing went well.
"Rathore ke saath bhi aisa hi tha. Lekin aaj tak usski wajah se mujhe problem nahi hui. Kahan ho tum Sam?" Arjun kept wondering to himself. Arjun wanted to see his face, hear his voice. If he knew that case was the last time he saw Rathore, he would have fought with him a bit more, hurt himself to make Sameer stay. But he didn't as he had no idea Sameer would leave him uninformed.
"Tujhe shikayat thi na mujhse, ki main tujhe Roshni ke maut ke baad akela chodkar chala gaya! Lekin ab kya kahega tu haan? Tu bhi mujhe akela chodkar chala gaya. Pehle Roshni ab tu. Mera koi apna hai bhi ya nahi?!" He questioned, as in complained to Sameer.
He was missing Sameer so badly that he had no option other than to sit and imagine him in front. Suddenly he heard a knock on the door and he blinked his eyes coming back to normal. "Come in!"
"Sir woh..." Riya stammered as she entered and Arjun scrunched his eyebrows looking at her. "Kya hai Riya? Bologi!" he ordered which made Riya flinch.
"Sir Dhruv sir ne aapko statement likhne ke liye kaha hai. Wahan jo bhi hua uss reporter ke saath usske liye aapko maafi maangni hai." Riya said as she sure Arjun would fire her for speaking like this.
But Arjun coldly stared at the paper in her hand "Do!" He forwarded his hand. Riya was shocked hearing this "Sir kya?" she asked being unsure about what she heard.
"Maine kaha Riya mujhe paper do. Main likh ke de deta hun." He took a pause and continued "agar mere maafi maangne se Dhruv ki ego satisfy ho jaati hai toh theek hai." Arjun said and took the paper which Riya forwarded.
"Mujhe time doge tum aur tumhare senior?" he questioned sarcastically looking at Riya standing there still. Listening to this question from Arjun, Riya became upset. "Sir." she was about to explain herself when Arjun ordered "Just leave!" and Riya obliged to it half-heartedly.
Looking at the blank sheet of paper he muttered "Agar tu hota na Sam toh sab sambhal leta mere peeche." He wrote an apology letter and through an office peon he sent it across to Dhruv.
***Flashback***
A lady's dead body was found dumped in the garbage and ETF was called to investigate the case. The media had gathered around as she was the wife of a high profile businessman and they had got a call that this news would get them high trp's.
Arjun was really annoyed looking at the crowd gathered at the crime scene, as this could be very risky for the preservation of the crime scene and any important evidence could be tampered. Mr. Satish, the husband comes running when Chotu and Shree stop him.
The media was recording all of this without permission. Despite the police trying to clear them out of the scene they did not pay any heed. While Dhruv was questioning Satish, Arjun was overhearing the conversation along with scanning the area for clues.
"Haan toh Mr. Satish aap pe jo guzar rahi hai woh main jaan sakta hun. Lekin filaal aapko humaare sawalon ke jawab dene padenge. " Dhruv spoke in a mellow voice.
"Puchiye.."
"Haan toh kya aap jaante the aapki biwi kahan ho sakti hai?" Dhruv asks.
"Haan ussne kaha tha ki woh ek party attend kar rahi hai. Aur mujhe bhi bulaya lekin main jaa nahi paya. Foreign clients ke saath meri 12 baje raat ko meeting thi. Issiliye." Satish said unable to control himself at this devastating loss.
"Aur jab aap ghar aaye kya woh ghar pe thi?" Dhruv questioned.
"Nahi woh ghar nahi aayi thi. Mujhe laga woh kissi dost ke ghar ruk rahi hogi issiliye main change karke so gaya. Phir aap logon ka call aya aur main yaha.." Dhruv rubs his back in order to console Satish.
"Kamal ki baat hai. Biwi ki maut ki khabar mili, lekin aap pure three-piece suit mein yahan aaye hai!" Arjun sarcastically stated as he walked upto Satish.
"Aur jab woh ghar aayi nahi tab aapne unhe call karna zaroori nahi samjha?" Arjun counter-questioned. But Satish was so shook that he couldn't answer, said his secretary.
Here the media who recorded this were making a ruckus and Dhruv sent Arjun to handle them. Arjun looked at Dhruv startled "What?" he asked.
"Jaao Arjun unhe rawana karo yahan se. This is an order." Dhruv said and walked upto Riya and the forensic examiner. Arjun along with Chotu Shree hesitatingly walked to the media.
"Aap logon ko aakhri baar bol rahe hai, humein humara kaam karne dijiye." Arjun ordered.
One of the journalist couldn't understand it in simple words "Aap ek pati se jisane abhi apni biwi ko khoya hai unnse sawal kar rahe hai? Police officers se kya daya ki umeed karna bekaar hai." saying so he was trying hard to provoke Arjun.
"Ayee sir ne ek baar kaha na jaao samajh mein nahi aata." Chotu sharply warned.
"Aap ko kaisa lagta jab aapki biwi ki laash ke saamne aapse sawal puchte?" he spoke further. Dhruv and Riya heard all this and Riya's whole focus was on the scenario.
Chotu Shree tried their best to cool down the situation when the reporter uttered his last statement "Kahin aisa toh nahi ki Sikandar ke saath aap bhi mile hue the? Aur ab sara bla.." and this was it.
Here Arjun couldn't control himself. He broke the reporter's equipment and even his face structure, while all the other media houses were recording it. Riya rushed to calm Arjun and behind her even Dhruv went.
He was out of control. If anyone knew his love for Roshni they would know that what the reporter said could get him killed by Arjun. When Arjun was hitting the reporter badly and not listening to anyone, Dhruv stepped forward and slapped him tightly. Everyone shook at this, Chotu-Shree-Riya were numb. They couldn't believe what they just saw.
"Enough is enough! Media ki baaton ko seriously leke aise tamashe karne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Step Back ACP Arjun Rawate. Warna mujhe strict action lena padega."
This was it and Arjun left from there shrugging all the hands which held him, including Riya's.
