but illegal goods smuggling is something I think..

luxury items that he bought .. its either because someone is blackmailing him to buy those but these are not female accessories (sports shoes in point)
also he needs money to buy all that stuff and since he doesn’t seem to be working anymore or atleast not as ambulance driver then where does he getting that kind of money…
now luxury items in case .. logically if I think then they can be used either to hide stuff (which points to drug or smuggling of anything expensive including diamonds)
or for fake manufacturing of the said items..
but lets see how writers portrays this angle…
now if I have to relate this to pallavi’s past then these illegal activities and pallavi’s past is what driving Mandar’s obsession…
somebody pointed it out earlier that Mandar might have used Pallavi to hide his black money (creating an account in her name without her knowledge) and thats why he needed her to be his wife again.. but then how Pallavi’s past angle comes into picture? its yet remained to see..
