Nope... as much as I love KD and his acting, I couldn't stomach the sindhoor scene today 🤢 Today probably marks the day where I officially think ShiVi cannot (or have the most impossible task) of being redeemed... the CVs are very wishy-washy when it comes to "love" between a nok-jhok couple. I want to tell them to watch their initial episodes... the scene where he grabs onto her and pulls her to the side, the scene where he grabs the matka piece before it hits her, with post-marriage scenes being how he lifts her onto the bed despite the kidnapping MU happening, where she quietly listens to him talking about the store, where she wants him to remove his shirt so she can see the bruises post-danda kaand... there's limited chance for the characters to say, "I love you!" but I felt the love anyway...
Now, Shiva is saying, "I love you Raavi...." but is making a bigger disaster out of himself out of pure rage or what... I don't mind if he punches a wall to release his anger or if he pushes everyone he loves to the side... but respect has to be maintained... and now after this, I want the longest, most in depth conversation, preferably with a therapist or a licensed professional because both of them need it so desperately! Did not think I would start to resent ShiVi... but I'm slowly getting there with their lack of proper, meaningful scenes... They are becoming more and more toxic to each other that the townspeople's worries during their marriage have perfectly been proven...
That marriage scene was set up to juxtapose how an unlikely couple would become the most loving, most trusting couple of them all with time... and I see none of the foreshadowing... instead all I see are two individuals who bring each other down due to communication issues, past blood, and adamant behaviors...
Rishita... when she is not Dikhtana dancing, is tolerable... but knowing what a 180 flip she did, even she is not super enjoyable...
Wondering if this new girl would make things any more enjoyable....
