Do you think the movie-watching audience of Bollywood will return to theatres in full force once the pandemic is over? Or will they be content watching movies on OTT and at home?

Or what I feel is, there will be a hybrid space, with the two mediums co-existing.

What do you guys think?

I don't think anyone here watched Bell Bottom in theatres. So nobody is going to theatres as far as Hindi movie audience is concerned. But I think South Indian movies will flourish as people are more sensible there.

There will be a hybrid space before the pre-pandemic situation gets restored. I personally cannot wait to go to theaters but haven’t been there even after some really good movies (HW ones) got released because of some inexplicable inertia.

I think word of mouth will play an important part in this scenario. Nobody will mindlessly walk off to cinemas with the risk of infection lurking around. In my opinion, covid-19 won't leave us just yet. It's been over a year.

Though, I love the experience of watching a Hindi film in theatres, I have to be fully convinced of it being a great film. Otherwise, I'd rather just watch it at home. But yeah, if Shershaah had released in cinemas I would've been the first to flock in.

P. S. I live in England so the situation is completely different to India. But health is top priority for anyone.

Master starring Vijay and Vijay was huge hit down south and it released in peak of the pandemic.

I am expecting Thalaivi South language versions to be mega hits, especially Tamil Nadu because of Amma mania. But ya the hindi version might flop.

Absolutely yes....bought tons of AMC stock at $ 9 during the peak of the pandemic...its at $45 now. Bitcoin what? Made a killing. If there's any publicly traded Entertainment companies in India, people should invest heavily. People will flock anything and everything from Vacations/AirBnb's/Retail/Restaurants...

When things are safe again, I do think audience will go back to watch the big releases on the big screen. OTT just doesn't hit the same.
