Sure, I'm fine with that. I'm probably going to procrastinate reading the first part now😆

Thank you Simi for the warm welcome🤗🤗

Hello guys, Tiara here. I started reading Harry Potter for the first time since March this year, although I had seen all the movies while growing up. Currently, I am at the fourth chapter of the Order of Phoenix, on my first reading, and I totally love the books.

I learned you guys are discussing Ch-1 to 5 from Book 1 on Monday evening. Thank you for letting me join in, looking forward to the discussions. 🤗🤗

Welcome to the club Tiara!🤗

Oh, reading the books for the first time is something else, isn't it? But even reading it a second or third time, there's the same thrill and nostalgia. Not to mention the knowledge of what's going to come which makes the dialogues and scenes so much more meaningful. I do hope that you reread it someday. Btw, are you going to reread with us too? Just asking since you recently read it. 😊

Whatever it is, another member in the discussions is definitely going to make it better. The more the merrier!😃

Thank you Diya 🤗 ( I hope I can call you Diya)

I must say reading the books have been amazing, so far, because I am constantly getting to know something new. Movies are good too, in the sense how they accomodated the whole novel in less than 3 hours, but many movie scenes looked too abrupt and they are making sense only after reading the books.

I do plan to reread the chapters again with you guys. Hope it will help me get a new perspective, other than the one from my first reading.

Thank you for the warm welcome 🤗 Looking forward to the discussions 😃

Yeah, I always wondered how it would've felt to watch the movies before reading the books because there were so many thing that didn't get into the movies due to time constraints. Even if it made sense, I still would've missed a lot.

I usually read books first, and while watching the movies, I keep pointing out how something was different in the book. Did you do the same while reading the books?😆

@Second para: Oh okay, I must tell you, 😆 me reading Harry Potter books after watching the movies is an exception. Otherwise, I also have the habit of reading the book before watching a movie, and pointing out differences.

However, for HP, for some reason or the other, I never got interested enough to read the books. Until now. And I am loving the story.

Yeah, there are many portions in the book, where I am like 'Oh, this never happened in the movie!', for example, Malfoy and Harry meeting for the first time at Madam Malkins in Diagon alley. Usually when a book lover spots a difference in the movie, it is annoying. At this point, for me, spotting extra scenes in the book is like a treasure trove of surprises.

@First para: I actually felt a bit annoyed on finding some important scenes were removed in the movies. That's why some portion in the movies never made sense. But, practically speaking, it was only movie, and eachvbook is huge. How much will they be able to cover?

@Bold: Tiara, you know I hate the movies for many reasons and one of them is how the makers have ruined Ron-Hermione's relationship in the movies, their relationship is my most favorite in the books, how they have ruined the character of Ron & how they've ruined the friendship between Harry & Ron. Even Harry and Hermione's characters were not the same in movies as written by JKR.
