~Little steps, real steps~
(Vat savitri)
Some of the most defining moments of Raghvi and their marriage were about Vat savitri. When they were just starting out, Raghav had asked her if she would do vat savitri for him. It was the first time he'd spoken to her as a husband, but Pallavi had looked away and stayed mum. Their relationship was still in turmoil back then, and Raghav's path to redemption had just started. As much as she wanted to believe in him, she had no clue whether their marriage would even work out.
Fast forward a few months later, and Pallavi is gifted her shagun for the Vat Savitri pooja. Both the saree and the bangles are disastrous, but Pallavi is happy anyway because Raghav chose them for her. As she drapes the saree and adores herself in the mirror, the elation in her eyes is real.
It's clear she isn't used to receiving gifts, and to receive them for Vat Savitri — an occasion that was taboo for her for so long — it touches the deepest corners of her heart.
A few minutes later, she comes to thank Raghav and tell him about the significance of Vat Savitri. But the conversation doesn't go as planned. The man who had so dearly wanted her to do this pooja for him, was now forbidding her from doing it. "Don't bow under societal pressure," he tells her. But how is he to know... it isn't society she's listening to, it's her own heart. "I've wronged you so much, why would you fast for me?" he asks. But how is he to know... the woman in front of him has a heart like no other. She doesn't hold grudges, she only carries gentleness and love.
As he comes closer and closer, Pallavi stays rooted in place. "To tum mere liye kuch feel karta hai?" he asks. Gone was the girl who would look away in such a moment... right now she was a wife, staring into the eyes of her husband. However, she doesn't confirm anything, and neither is she able to take a step forward.
Fast forward again... and it's the day of the occasion! She descends like a queen... looking every bit the gorgeous Marathi mulgi that she is
But this time... Raghav stays rooted in place, while Pallavi takes the steps forward. This is a marked change in their equation. From here onward, it'll always be Pallavi leading the way, taking charge of their relationship. Raghav has given her the reins.
Vat savitri — the occasion where Savitri brought back Satyavaan from the dead. Pallavi has done the same thing — from within the broken pieces, she has brought back to life the gentle, softhearted Raghav Rao. The man who'd always wanted a happy life and a loving family. When their fast breaks, it does so with a promise from Pallavi... a promise to stay by his side always. Through all his highs and lows.
And honestly, that is what she does best, isn't it?

~A little bit Closer~
(RR waking up on her stomach)
This was the scene where for the first time we got to see them be a regular married couple who share the same bed, wake up in each other’s arms (ok not quite, but same difference )... it was beautiful and ‘’ahem’’ hot? Yup, very hot!!!
It had not been long since they started sharing a bedroom, which used to be his space earlier. And we wondered if they were ever going to show them sleeping together. Would there be the regular pillow wall like before or are they going to stick to their side of the bed? But as our eyes followed the camera, moving in sync with the early morning sun filtering through their bedside window, birds chirping in the background, slowly bringing into focus these two sleeping peacefully together as one, it took us all by surprise. I don’t think I have seen a more aesthetically shot morning scene with an onscreen couple before.
He had his head resting on her stomach, one hand encircling her tiny waist and other one holding her hand. And there she was, her petite frame almost entirely covered by his broad back, sleeping blissfully unaware of his proximity. I don’t know how many times I paused and re-winded to see them in that position but soon the alarm went off and woke her up. She tried to reach for it to turn it off and it’s then that she realized she couldn’t move because of the weight of the body lying on her.
What I loved about that moment — she realized he was sleeping on her, but she wasn’t shocked or uncomfortable. She didn't want to wake him up so very carefully tried to move him. But obviously that turned out to be quite a task. So he woke up and immediately saw her face just inches away.
Unlike her, he was shocked and embarrassed when he realized that he was on her side of the bed. Suddenly, she was also aware of the situation and had to make an excuse to get away from him to beat the awkwardness.
(Did I mention what a welcome change it was to see her in a nightgown?)
Anway, she went to the bathroom to ‘’freshen up’’ and stood there trying to let the feeling sink in. He was lying on her, holding her hand. She could still feel his strong grasp around her wrist, the scent of his cologne on her. It was magical and the feeling was making her giddy.
She couldn’t stop smiling and blushing looking at herself in the mirror. The intimacy, the feel of his body so close to her... he was actually holding her hand in his sleep. Had they been sleeping in that position all night long? It was all so hard to believe yet it happened and she couldn't stop thinking about it. She had no monologues, but her expression said it all. She was in love

~A Kid at Heart~
(Drunk Pallavi)
From going “aww” as she listened to her MIL talk about her moments with her late husband... to urging MIL to relax and drink... to sharing her own grief and thoughts... to taking in her mother-in-law's advice... to easing MIL's pain when she sobs remembering her late husband... to dancing with her mother-in-law.
Pallavi was the cutest and most adorable daughter-in-law in this entire sequence.
Who later magically transforms into a macchar (mosquito), and sits on ventilation window in an effort to seek moksha from this world..
But her daadi wala baba, I mean her husband, being the cruel man that he is, refuses to let her seek moksha in peace and threatens to open a vault full of lizards if she doesn’t come down back to him.
Poor Macchar, fearing heinous lizards that will kill her, relents and literally jumps back to him.
But Macchar didn’t forget to praise her Ghamandi Rao hubby for showing bravery by catching her in his drunken state, putting his patli kamariya at stake.
Awards him with a new name - Sweet Rao
Tired after the night’s shenanigans, Pikachu Pallu sleeps like a baby as her hubby carries her back to their room.
