Aniruddha's feelings

Hello,I am a new member of this wonderful forum.i wish to know,did anirudh really love Soudamini? I mean initially it seemed that he was infatuated with her...but I doubt he ever loved her in the true sense. Can u pls tell me what you feel about his relation with her?

She is his neighbour, childhood friend and both of their elders also want them to get married. He have developed feelings from his teenage/ childhood. He really didn't love her, it is just an infatuation. She also want to marry him so that she can shift to London, she didn't like his principles, ideologies. It is infatuation from her side also.

Yes, Anirudhh did love Soudamini, and that is because he is a guy capable of intense love and devotion towards his loved ones. If you assess his character and relation with each of his family members, you will see how much care and consideration he has for everyone. This "everyone" doesn't just include his family members, but friends and strangers as well! I mean, just in order to save the life of a little girl, with whom he has absolutely no emotional bond with, who is practically a stranger to him, he ended up fake-marrying her and brought her home and cared for her. Just think, how deep his consideration for Soudamini must have been! Unfortunately, he realizes that the person he considered his friend, his life-partner is an utter psycho, who has absolutely no regard for others. So of course, he stops loving her. Actually I want to someday write an intersting take, as to how the story of BB would have shaped up, had Soudamini's ideals matched with that of Ani's and had she been a positive character. Don't know how many people will be interested in that. I personally feel that the Soudamini should have been a positive character.

PS: The reason I wrote Ani fake-marrying Bon is because although the marriage was a real one in society's eyes, for Ani it was just a means to save Bon's life.

Thank you so much for the explanation....I too felt that there was hardly any genuine feelings between the two of them.Anirudh I believe has always been in love with bondita since her childhood days but then it was a platonic love almost a spiritual oneness which has now developed into a deeply passionate emotion with shades of romanticism in it.

Okay...but had he truly loved Soudamini...would it have been possible for him to develop such deep feelings for bondita? I mean in the recent episodes Ani realised that he was in love with bondita...and it turned so intense...had he previously never loved her so much would he have felt so deeply now? I feel and it is only my personal opinion that he thought he loved soudamini but in reality perhaps it was a teenage infatuation....perhaps

okay, so there is a lot to decode here. As I have stated before in this forum as well, I am not entirely convinced by the romantic track between Ani and Bon. I will probably make a post on this in detail sometime later.

The answer that I wrote was keeping in view of Ani's character pre-leap (till around 250 episodes) after which they started messing with Ani's character.
Nevertheless, I will address few of your questions.
Yes, it is totally possible to love somebody and fall out love as well. Love can happen once, twice, thrice even! If Soudamini had shared Ani's ideals, Ani would have been totally devoted to her and probably would have given Bon her independance once she has become an independent educated adult. He could have still developed a deep bond with Bon but their relationship would have been platonic.

Regarding the present love track in the show, I will try to pen my thoughts in a separate post.

Although I do believe that love happens once ...yet I do agree with u that in course of time love must never be taken for granted and one must work on it....soudamini did nothing to earn Aniruddha 's love and it died a natural death..while bondita worked on her relation infact she is still absolutely devoted to Ani...infact if I can put it my way..Ani never got what he wished to find in Soudamini that is an individual with a selfless progressive mindset,so intentionally or unintentionally..it is each to us own..he moulded Bondita to his ideals and when she came back to his world.. he couldnot but fall for her

guys ani and bon lived together for 1,5 years where there was care,affection,.res[pect and utmost faith for eahc other

if u see preleap bondita though was very diufferent from another gilrs as we remember from small age she has been a girl destined to be a chnage-in any track all her qualities and her special gun her tark shakti ,her qiestions on injusticed be it thinking of hamari shaadu gaalt hai pati babu,her firs time questioning villagers and doling tarks after the nadi incident she stole clothedw,her kletter,her dolagoue tark se fark mia=taaungi,her selfless adoration and her maturity irrespective of her age

so it made ani form a soulful connection with her

but 8 years he was away from her -no contact,no letters,he just wrote 3 things-he is fine,got ur money,focus on studies that is it uski persoanl life kaisi hai,usne kya struggles kiya

ek baat bato ek indian small girl ke life aasan hogi vahan par,when she knows at what cost she went and whatver happened woth her,8 years mein voh kaisi bani,kitna grow huyi,kya thought process banna

if we see psot leap episode makers showed traits of young bon disgusing herself as a wedding bride and helping her friend to live her life as per her terms,we saw her gratitude of realisng how child marriage is a kupratha and she felt glad to be free from it jabki preleap we saw bon always questioning why their marriage was broken and we used to uetsion kaash saath hote lekin postleap episode 1 ki bondita dekhke samajh gyi she herself feels she was not a child bride now-she knows at one point she used to feel mai rc ki bahu hoo,mujhe yeh zimedari nibhana,mera stree dharm and to be honest agar voh is shaadi mein hoti toh yeh saari feelings usk emain mein hoti jabki bon vaaps aayi she questioned all norms jo ek amrried women ko karne hot,patnidharm,streedharm na kahekhe voh kehti hai pyar hone zaroori hai rishtey ke dehleez meion-the reason she thinks cc is a good man as he respects tupur despite of her scarred face,,of not getting child jo usne aur kisi aadmi ko nahi dekha as how cc pretends to be

so ani feel for bondita das but having a strong connection to the chuldhood version of bondita

@bold I think this is the very troupe that story-tellers across the world sell as love. We are told that we can fall in love only once and the one we eventually settle down with is our true love and that all our previous loves were just infatuations. Even I used to think the same way. Till I realized that love has more to do with oneself, rather than the object of our affection. The object of our affection just acts as a stimulus through which we are able to understand the depth of love we are capable of. And as we move through our life, our love only becomes more refined.

The post was whether Ani's feelings for Soudamini was love or just a mere infatuation, not whether Soudamini deserved his love or not. Of course she does not.

She was Ani's childhood friend. As Ani himself says, the affection, care and eventual love that he developed for her was a result of that friendship. They had fought together, laughed together, celebrated festivals together... To say that Ani's feelings for Soudamini were just a mere infatuation would be a great disservice to his character. Because as I said earlier, this guy is capable of so much love, that he even cares for strangers so deeply. Then why wouldn't he love somebody that he had a emotional bond with since childhood? Ani falls in love with a wrong person, and since he is not a doormat, after the initial shock and heartbreak, gets over it and then fights back. And then much later he falls in love with Bon, who is a person, who will never take his love for granted. If tomorrow Bon turns into a negative character, he will stop loving her too. That does not mean, Ani's love for her was merely an infatuation. His loving Soudamini or being infatuated with Manorama doesn't mean that his love for Bon gets tainted in any way.

Regarding Ani-Bon relationship, I do wish to write about them some day, because I feel after all that build-up with Ani and Bon's character, the makers took a very cliched and dry path in depicting their love.
