HELLUU ALL!!
Back with an update. Hope you enjoy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 years later,
Raavi huffed in anger as she folded the cloths. She looked around the room again and cursed that bhoothnath of a husband she had, once again. She was away for only one night and he had managed to create a mini tornado in their room. Nothing was in their places. Toys of Siddhi were scattered on the floor. His cloths were kept haphazardly. Her study table was a mess. In short she didn’t recognise their room. Then she remembered who she lived with. The bhalu who loved to be kept on toe by his wife and irritate her by pulling this antics. She couldn’t believe she was married to this idiot. She felt like banging her head - no wait, why her head? She should bang his head, multiple times. She was about to get up to keep the cloths when they were taken from her hand. She rolled her eyes. Here came the mischiefer to lend a hand. She got up and stuffed the toys in a bag. She took a rugged cloth and started wiping the items on the dresser, bed side, the two sitter etc not paying attention to Shiva. He followed her movement and frowned. She wasn’t supposed to ignore him. He did this little mess to rile her up so that she paid him extra attention, well give him extra earful actually. Whatever, it was supposed to be her punishment for leaving him for one night which seemed to be turning into his. He watched her open hair hiding her face from him like a curtain as she bend over her things on the dresser. He scowled. He wasn’t gonna play ignore ignore. He went behind her and gathered her hair in a loose bun. Raavi rolled her eyes and moved to her study table. He stood there with hands on his waist glaring at the back of her head.
“Aye chipkali, tu kiya gussa ho rahi hai, gussa toh mujhe hona chaiye. Main kuch ghanton ke liye sheher se bahar gaya aur tune mujhe chodkar uss mami ke godh mein jaake baith gayi”,
“aisa bol raha hai jaise pehli baar gayi”, Raavi muttered under her breath loud enough for her husband to hear,
“gayi toh gayi mujhe bola bhi nahi. Tujhe pata hai ghar lautne ke baad tujhe na dekh kar mujhe kaisa lagta hai”,
“aur issliye tune mere room ka yeh halat bana di”, he gave her a guilty-but-not-guilty smile. Groaning, she threw the cloth at him which he caught immediately. She looked around for something else and took hold of a broom nearby,
“tujhe na.... Iss jharu se pitna chaiye”,
“arreh nahi!!! uss jharo ko aise apne do tango ke bich leke baith jaa. Mubarak ho. Tujhe toh tera chudail wala bahan bhi mil gaya. Aab toh apni behno se aaram se milne jaana”, Raavi flared hearing his instructions. She couldn’t believe the audacity of this guy. Here she took leave and straight away came knowing he would be here and he was mocking her. Idiot. Trust her husband to ruin her plans and surprises. She threw that broom beside him.
“Gadhere bhoothnath. Maine school se chutti li, seedha yaha aaya tujhe khush khabri dene ke liye aur tu apna maja le raha hai”, he quickly held her both hand behind her before she could get her hand on another weapon and pulled her to himself,
“khush khabri? Kaisa khush khabri? Mami gayi kya?”,
“Shivaaa”,
“arreh tu bolegi bhi”,
“main pregnant hu”, Raavi said pouting. She didn’t plan to tell him like this. She wanted to break the news to him in some cliche filmy way. But he ruined it all usual. Anyway, when did anything in their relationship happened according to a plan!!
Shiva cupped her face with his one hand and made her look at him.
“kya bola tune?”
“Tu papa banne wala hai Shiva. Aur main ma. Maine tujhe bola tha meri period late hai. Kal doctor ke paas gayi thi. Kuch der pehle call aaya. Check up ke liye jaane ko bola”, he slowly let all the information sink in. She wasn’t feeling well for a few days and had vomited twice the previous morning. He was supposed to take her to the doctor but he had to leave for some work. He thought he would take her after returning. But here he was pleasantly surprised. Shocked actually. He was going to be a father. They were going to be parents. They were going to start their own family.
“Aab kaha apna khayali pulao leke baith gaya. Maine itni bari news di. Congratulate kar mujhe”,
“Raavi!! Main papa banne wala hu?”, Shiva asked in a whisper, Raavi nodded watchinghim closely. Not planned but he was still surprised. He asked again, this time smiling tearfully. She swiftly wiped away the teardrop mirroring his smile. And for the third time he asked her the same question shouting in happiness making her grin just as wide. Not holding back, he closed the distance between them and kissed her. She too happily responded.
Breaking the kiss, he looked down at her flat belly and kept his hand there. He smiled as tears rolled down his cheek. He was speechless.
“Kya Shivji. Pregnant main hu aur emotional yeh kaddu horaha hai.”, She wiped his cheek andplaced kisses on his eyes and cheeks, “bohat hua rona dhona. Kya serial ki bahu ki tarah rone baith gaya. Hume doctor ke paas bhi jaana hai aur mujhe tere begair nahi jaana”,
Shiva kept looking at her. He was so lucky. He didn’t care about how would it have been if they never had the animosity between them. If he didn’t let himself get blinded by his hatred. Those were the stories for another birth, another lifetime. For now, she was his and they were together –that was what mattered. He hugged her tightly thanking his stars above over and again.

Next day was Rakhsha Bandhan. Earlier, Dhara used to go to her maternal home to tie Rakhi to Hardik. But since the day Raavi came marrying into the Pandyas, that tradition had changed. Now Hardik would come to Pandya Niwas to tie Rakhi from three of his sisters. He had self adopted Raavi and Rishita as they had no brother earning a new nickname called ‘jagat bhrata' from Suman.
On that occasion, ShiVi revealed about the pregnancy making the family go ecstatic. Krish and Rishita wanted throw a party but Raavi chose otherwise. She wanted go on a vacation with her family. It was Suman's decision that they would go to their ancestral place and do a puja praying for the couple and their child and her family. She herself called up Raavi's paternal uncle Antor and invited him and his family. Also she literary ordered Jagat and Prafulla to accompany them. Both were Raavi's family and Suman believed they deserved to be a part of her happiness. Even Hardik agreed to join them this time on ShiVi's insistence.
Prafulla was beyond ecstatic hearing the news. She had always hold Raavi close to her heart and was always weary of her innocence. She had outright hated Shiva for whatever reason but her heart took a different turn when she heard the news. She witnessed her daughter glowing in the love she was being showered. She witnessed a different Shiva whom she refused to acknowledging in this 3 years. Still, when Shiva demanded the kangans as gift to Raavi, she refused. One thing that was yet to change.

The period during her pregnancy was another rollercoaster journey for ShiVi. Her mood swings were something different altogether. She loved watching cartoons and made Shiva buy her loads of CD of various cartoons. She would make Shiva cook for her stating moodswing and not her fantasy to have her husband cook for her since she saw Gaumbi cook so lovingly for Dhara. That started their infamous fight and turned into a game. He playfully accused her of fulfilling all her secret fantasies and she cheekily denied all the time but at the end, she agreed. Everyone got to witness a different Shiva. They saw a much patient and soft version of otherwise angry young man who without getting irritated handled all of Raavi's moodswings. But whenever he knew she was just throwing a tantrum that could effect her health, he would scold her outright but wouldn’t get angry. He took care of her like a parent.
One night, Raavi found Shiva sitting on the bed crouched over a diary. He was writing something very thoughtfully. She wound her hand around his neck from behind and kept her chin on the crook of his neck.
“kya kar raha hai?”,
He held her hands and gave a light squeeze before pulling her in front of him. She settled on his lap, her back to his, head tilted to look at him. He placed a small kiss on her lips,
“tere papa ke diary yaad hai na? Pata hai jiss din tune aapna pregnancy ke news reveal ki mujhe papa ke baatein yaad aayi. Unka woh moment, woh ehsaas. Mujhse raha nahi gaya. Toh maine bhi socha kyun na main bhi kuch same to same karu. Copy paste?”, she snuggled in his arms chuckling, “toh yeh humare tradition honge. Ke Father apne feelings likhke rakhe ga. Mere sasur ne kiya. Main kar raha hu. Aur mera beti ka pati bhi karega kisi din”, this made Raavi look at him to find him already smiling down at her,
“tradition!!! Beti!!!”, he nodded eagerly making her frown, “tujhe kaisa pata beti hogi?”
“bass pata hai”, he kissed her nose and shrugged, “tere jaise khubsurat aur strong hogi joh jar taraf Khushiyan fehlati hai. Main chahta hu tere saare goon usme ho”,
“Agar beta hua toh?”, Shiva gave a thoughtful look making Raavi look at him expectantly,
“toh phir main usse thoda sa apne jaisa bana unga. Joh tujhse sabse jyada pyar karega. Aur tu usse pyar karna sikha dena. Mere tarah nehi joh aag babula banke ghume. Teri tarah joh kisike against grudges naa rakhta ho”,
“ beta ho ya beti. Dono me humari hi parchayi hogi. Thoda tere jaisa sakht thoda mere jaisa naram. Mere jaisa joh har cheez se pyar kare aur tere jaisa bhi joh reality ko saath leke chalte ho”,
Raavi finished keeping her hand over Shiva's that was on her small baby bump. She rested her head in his shoulder, he kept his cheek on her forehead leaning back on the headboard. They closed their eyes basking in the warmth and love of their togetherness.

Raavi was allowed to take 4 months maternity leave or more if needed. But she decided to take a break from her job. She loved her work very much. She met so many lovely kids and they loved her equally. She had also made some great friends among her colleagues. But she wanted to be there with her child in every step of his life. She wanted to witness every first of their child, together with Shiva. So when she entered her 6th month, she decided to not continue for a while. It wasn’t like she leaving it forever. She would be back when she felt like it. For now her child was her priority.
On her last day in the school, her students presented her with flowers, hand written cards and hand made gifts. They all loved her dearly. Her methods of teaching and friendly approaches made her everyone’s favourite. The beauty of teaching profession is the love and respect you get. She felt really emotional that day biding farewell to her first working place. She felt blessed that she had experienced some of the best moments of her life.

On Raavi's godh bharai day,
Raavi was sitting on the swing with Krish who was animatedly sharing some incident that happened in his shop. Shiva and Dev was out with Siddhi. Others were busy with the preparations.
Suddenly Anu and Ani came running in followed by their mother, Dev and Shiva. Raavi and Krish hugged them merrily. Anuradha, who was now in 3rd grade, was attached to Raavi very much and both the children missed her in school for the last one month. So when Shiva met the two kid on the way and brought them to meet Raavi.
“Teacher, mumma keh rahi thi aap ke belly mein....”,
“......ek cutesa chotasa baby hai”,
“I am sure, aapke jaisa ek cutesa doll hoga”,
Hearing Anu, Raavi looked up at Shiva who was having a winning smirk on his face. She shook her head grinning. This was the first time they never had any argument or any bet over a topic.
“doll nahi pari hogi, teacher ke jaise”,
Anu was about to retort Ani, but stopped feeling a tug on her arm. Siddhi had walked up to Anu and was now poking her cheek saying doll. The twokid immediately became engrossed with Siddhi while DeShiSh left their mother with Raavi.

The day their baby girl was born was the best day in ShiVi's life. Shiva had witnessed the difficulties and pain Raavi had to go throughout her pregnancy. Then he was beside her when she went through the labor pain. He felt helpless. But all their pain went away the moment, they heard the cry of their first born. When Raavi took the baby for the first time in her arms, Shiva was sitting beside her watching them mesmerized. They instantly fell in love with their little sunshine and they fell in love with each other all over again.
The naming ceremony was held as grandly as their wedding and almost the whole Somnath attended them. Earlier they couldn’t believe the two sworn enemy in love and getting married, thus the many attendees. This time they came to bless the loveliest couple of Somnath. Apparently ShiVi was the most favourite couple there!!!
ShiVi named their girl Kalpana, Kalpana Shiva Pandya. It was for two reasons – 1) it was Raavi's mother's name, 2) well Shiva loved that name. Rishita nicknamed her Eila.
In the ceremony, Suman sarcastically asked Prafulla to give her first grandchild the best gift. But to everyone’s surprise, Prafulla parted with the kangans and wanted to gift them to Eila. Raavi instantly refused to accept that stating it wasn’t Prafulla's to give in the first place. She wanted her maasi to give something of her own to her daughter. Shiva and their family looked on proud while Prafulla was taken aback and... ashamed? She returned the kangans to Suman and gifted Eila a gold chain instead.
Shiva wasn’t surprised anymore seeing his chipkali doing magic again. He looked down at their baby girl in his arm and pecked her forehead lightly. He was content. He had everything he wanted right now, a loving family, a fierce wife and adorable daughter. What could he want more?
