I am surprised that there are not more women here who can empathize with her honestly; I know lots of women in different professions with some of the same underlying resentments. She is extremely successful but constantly minimized and after many years in the business she is pushing back gently. I do think she is annoyed but not really angry - she goes on to praise SRK in specific detail for how he was a great costar (she gave him exactly the kind of praise she asked of him). She has probably worked hard on this film and surely there was something she did or some quality of hers he might have noticed and appreciated as she did for him. Instead he, like so many others, will put her name and face on the poster and use her to promote - things clearly indicating her value - and then barely acknowledge her. I do not work in entertainment but I know exactly what this feels like.

The quality of hers that everyone notices is that she works hard and is gentle.. she is constantly minimized because she is terrible at her job.. Yes.. she is a star.. yes, she has a great figure and she attracts audience and adds brand value for any movie she is a part of.. but despite all that, she is a terrible actress which I am sure people working with her know too.. She has been in the industry for years now and still can't speak properly.. So what else can these people say about her expect sing praises about her hard work and behavior.. They can't applaud her acting which is precisely the kind of praise she is looking for

Precisely but this was back in 2012..she has evolved so much since then..now she is a diff person..much more relaxed..and accepting of her short coming..and may i say a better actor too..zero..bharat and now jee le zaara which for sure will satisfy her as an artist..come to think about it..she is being casted in a movie directed by farhan where she is a lead along with solid actors like alia and PC..itself is such an accomplishment..it surely means people believe in her craft

I don't think it means people believe in her craft though😆 She gets casted in movies not because of her acting skills but because of her brand value.. Of course, I applaud her for getting this position without any acting talent but her being casted in this movie doesn't really say anything about her craft.. she has always gotten the best movies.. And of course, she has managed to ruin several of them😆 she isn't an actress.. and she must accept that.. she is a star, an excellent dancer, great looker.. But she would never be ranked high as an actress..

Haven't seen Bharat.. but Zero wasn't really that great.. it was acceptable which for Kat is a tall order since people always expect her to be atrocious.. And of course, the film itself was so bad.. but replace her with someone who knows acting and the role would have been something else.. It's just that everything else in the movie was so bad that Kat acting as herself shined😆

How dare she not accept a shitty compliment from a man…half of IF members are either sexist, ageist, incels or Ranbir’s fans so don’t expect common sense. Just look at the type of topics that are created. She is not a great actress but what she has accomplished in BW and in business, not many other women have. But yeah, she should shut up and be grateful to be called gentle.
