Chapter 2

"Mamma!" Shiva stood shock as Shivin hugged Raavi.

Mamma?

His face turned pale. The moment he was waiting for had finally come, Raavi was back in Pandya Niwas but she wasn't alone. She brought her son with her. He was Raavi's son that means, he was his own son! Raavi's and his.

But Shiva's happy thoughts came to pause when he realised that Raavi hid this truth from him. First of all she left him and didn't look back for 4 long years and now she kept him away from his son. He started getting more and more angry as he realised that he never got to meet his son in 4years, that his son lived the life of an orphan while he was alive, only due to Raavi!

"Papa, we finalised sufer-ised you!"He was bought out of his thoughts by the little kid's voice.

"Shivin, I told you na, it's surprise."Raavi corrected him.

"But you gave a shock to me." Shiva whispered but it was quite audible to Raavi and the family.

"Pappa, who are they? Will they love me, Mumma?" Shivin asked unaware of the cold war his parents were fighting through eyes.

"Haan, beta." Shiva replied, looking straight into Raavi's eyes.

As Shiva sat with the family in the hall, he looked at Raavi.

How can she do this to him? How can she hide such a huge reality from him? His son.

He looked towards Shivin who was playing with Vansh, Gautam and Dhara's son. How can she not tell him about him? He knew he has done a huge mistake. But all this while he had been dying everyday thinking that she was not with him anymore. But why was she back? Did she wants to make them apart again? No! Shivin is his son! Their son! How can he just leave him?

Raavi looked in the mirror hung in front of her, on the wall. All of a sudden she was shocked to see the new Raavi staring back at her, with no trace of the old Raavi. What has she done to herself? To him, to her love for him? She realised the spark between them has been lost. But is it only the spark, or the love itself?

"Where were you Raavi?" Dhara asked. "How are you?"

"I'll tell everything Di, just give me sometime." She replied.

Raavi put Shivin on the bed and covered him with a duvet. She was back in the house but Shiva asked Dhara to open the guest room for her. He didn't want her in his room, why would he? He hated her after all. The whole family was in shock after her arrival but Raavi wanted Shiva and Shivin to know what are they to each other, the family needed to know about him, but she was afraid. She was afraid that as now Shiva has found out that Shivin is his son, he will take him away from her. More over, is his heart witnessing this truth?

She moved out of the room and loiter around. She was hungry and wanted to eat something. She thought she should ask Shiva if he need anything to eat so she went towards his room, which was hers too, once. She entered inside as the door was open and her feet got stuck on the ground.

The room was filled with her photos. Some single and some with Shiva. Her eyes filled with tears as all the memories flashed in front of his eyes.

"What are you doing here?" she heard and turned towards the voice only to find Shiva coming out of the washroom.

"Shiva, I..." she couldn't continue. She didn't know what to say. She realized that he has made her suffer, but he had suffered a lot too. He did a mistake by telling her all those things but she also didn't do correct by hiding her pregnancy from him. "What should I say..?"

"Is there still something to say?" Shiva exploded suddenly making Raavi flinch. "Do you still have to say something now? Is there still anything left that I don't know?"

It is the love, she decided. It is the love that has been lost not because it wasn't strong, but because she quit. She couldn't fight anymore. She was done, she was fed up trying to tie the relation alone.

"Will you now dare to speak?"She came out of her thoughts. "Why on earth did you do this?"

"What else should have I done?" Raavi barked back. "You f*cking doubted on me."

"I was angry, Raavi. Your friends were making fun of you and me. I started feeling that you don't deserve me. But why didn’t you even tell me that you are pregnant?"

"Why should have I? So that you could ask whose child is this?" She shouted as tears rolled down her eyes.

"Don't!" Shiva warned.

"Why? You said all that because you doubted on me, Shiva. Have you ever thought of my pain, your words broke my heart, do you even remember what you told me? Can you imagine how difficult it was for me? I didn't want my husband to call my child illegitimate. Pati Patni k rishtey mein shaq kabhi nahi aana chahiye."

"Fine, main janta hoon ki main gadhera hoon. Toh humesha ki tarah ladd leti naa, gussa kar leti. Thappad toh maar hi dia tha sabke saamne. Phir shehar chod kar jaane ki kya zaroorat thi?" Shiva asked.

"Tujhe idea hai mene Shivin ko kab conceive kiya hoga?" Raavi asked back.

Shiva looked at her, he knew those moments were special for him but he didn't know it was same for her.

Flashback

Raavi was already too tired because of the running around today. Things hadn't been going too well in their lives lately. Her strained relationship with Shiva was doing her no good and then Sneha insulting Shiva like that had shaken her up and Shiva's changed behaviour only aggrieved her further. It went without saying that however bad things between her and Shiva were, he would always be there for her. It was just that Raavi wanted him to say it out loud. She wanted him to tell her that he was always there for her. She wanted him to tell her that he doesn’t care about what people think.
She sighed and dragged herself to the balcony. The weather was cool with a soft breeze blowing.
Shiva walked into the room but Raavi wasn't present. He gazed towards the balcony and saw her looking at sky, enjoying the weather but he could clearly see the lines of worry on her face. Her hair was rolled up. He knew she liked her hair loose but only when she wasn't at ease, was disturbed, did she roll it up.

"Tujhe neend nahi aa rahi kya?" Shiva asked as he walked in.

"Kuch baat karni hai tujhse," she replied. "Thodi der yahin baith jaayen?”

Shiva wanted to stay away from her because he had realised that Raavi deserved better. She was forcing herself into this relationship and he would never want her to do so.

But he couldn’t help himself listening to her. They made themselves comfortable on the floor under the luminescent sky.

The weather turned cooler still and to their surprise an unexpected and unseasonal shower rained down. Raavi was delighted. In her delight,she sprang up from her place and opening her arms wide, swirled in the rain enjoying the kiss of the raindrops against her face and body. Shiva was surprised. She made a beautiful sight dancing out there in the rain. She beckoned him to join her but he refused.

No, Shiva. You need to supress your feelings for her.

Shiva knew he should refuse, his brain told her so. Instead,one look at those piercing brown eyes, those locks of dark hair getting rapidly soaked with rain and that smile on her beautiful face, he felt he had no right to refuse her. Before he could stop himself he found himself taking her hand.He placed his one hand on her shoulder and the other on her waist and they began swaying gently with the music. Shiva pulled away the clip holding her hair and the roll came tumbling down in waves.

As Raavi swayed in Shiva's arms, their bodies barely went apart, Raavi realised up close he was extremely overpowering. She looked up into his eyes. The lamp light in the balcony illuminated his strong features and sinfully sensuous mouth. She leaned up and his heart skipped a beat and before he knew it, their lips met and an inexplicably delicious sensation burst through every vein in their bodies. Raavi's locked her hands around his neck and Shiva hands were wrapped on her waist. It was a kiss of sweetness, a kiss of tenderness, yet one which very well conveyed their innermost feelings and desires.

End of flashback

"Kabhi kabhi lagta hai, tu mere baare mein aisa isliye sochta hai kyunki us din pehel maine ki thi." Raavi said in a low voice. "Tuney mujhe tod ke rakh dia, Shiva. You ruined my self-respect. What else did you want me to do?"

"Bahut nafrat bhar gayi na tere dil mein mere liye?" He asked.

"Main jhoot nahi bolna chahti, aur sach tu sunn nahi payega." Raavi confessed and left the room leaving behind a broken Shiva.
