Sorry but this is my personal opinion His first impulse when he saw her hugging her male friends, the first thing in his mind was to protect her thinking they were eve teasing her. The character took a down turn in the last episode when he said to go back at the friends who she speaks in english with and hugs. Which I believe might have been his insecurity or Spur of the moment anger. Dont know! I really dont think he has the toxic masculinity of How dare you talk to other boys. He just felt low because they judged him. Just personal opinion I might be wrong🤪

About that What irks me most about her is that she wants the marriage to work but always looks down upon him. I dont think she wants the marriage to work because she feels one day Shiva could be the best husband she could ask for. I think she wants the marriage to work because that what society expects. You make absolutely valid points. Up until he made those comments implying she enjoyed flirting with the guys who spoke English it was fine. Overprotective maybe, but it was kinda cute. It's the later part that made him seem like a typical toxic hero.

An abstract thing ,because walking out of a marriage would be unacceptable in the society she's from. I'm not sure she looks down at shiva , as much as want him to change to fit her ideal. But that's the thing about any relationship, you can't force people to fit into moulds we have of them , you just have to take them as they come. You can't change people ,unless they want that change themselves.

Shiva is just shiva. Impulsive. Hot-headed. Heart of gold. I think usually his thoughts- words and action are in one line and the same , up until raavi. When his thoughts, words and actions are all mixed up. Poor baby 🥺. He's also easily the most intense of all the brothers . Volatile . Most likely to kiss wife mid fight. Loving shiva is tough

Still hate Raavi, and I think it has been discussed to death here, so will not go into that. Otherwise not too bad episodes. I think I have reached a detachment state. I'll chalk it upto personal opinion- Shiva has pulled the short straw in terms of life partner. His fate is just bad 🤣 It's ok, it's ItV, he'll just learn to live with her.

Some random stuff in my mind after watching the two epis

- Shiva stayed back 😐 I really wished he had left. But anyways he did get some alone time to sort out his thoughts- right or wrong, he has atleast made a decision to end the farce he thinks his marriage is.

- They finally played Darmiyaan for ShiVi 🤣 Everyone has been asking this forever 😆

- The family's reaction to Shiva is- well it is bad, but not as terrible as I expected. 😐

- Uhhmm did Suman call out Dev's BS about feeling guilty 😆 All her previous sins are forgiven in my book 🤣

- Rishitha, is well, Rishitha. She is truly Girgit Pandya- don't know which way she will sway 🤔 Her feminism and righteousness springs as per her convenience, so cannot really take her seriously. But her sarcasm with Suman 🤣 And Suman caught it too 🤣🤣

- Can I say I have started disliking Krish too 😕 It's not about him supporting Raavi, it's just that, he is happy to bash his brother. I think I expected Krish to suspect there is more to the story, since he is close to Shiva and does look up to him 😐 But they are having Dev do this 🤪

- I have no words for GauRa. I can't believe I have become apathetic to them, like I am with Dev. Anyways, I find their love weird. Can't place my finger on it. It's a bit like token love- they tell other people that they love and support Shiva, but when it comes time for Shiva to share his sorrow or pain, I find Shiva alone 😒 No conversations or check ins for Shiva. We will just call him Adhbut and be done with it 🤪

Honestly PS has become a "play in background while doing chores" kind of serial 🤷‍♀️ I find that if you don't follow too closely or get too invested in any character, the episodes are bearable.

Idk why I'm watching PS , but somehow expected it to subvert the toxic joint family narrative.

I.mean I knew what I was getting into and yet I kinda hoped it'd be different.

Kind of take the basic idea of the original and put twists in place that brings its appeal to a younger generation.

Right now it just plays into the tropes of middle india /middle age India watches. What a waste of potential.

I used to love the dhara- shiva bond. But really lady. If you're all mere.shiva this , mere shiva that, why the hell don't you first.

1. Get him outta the house, sit down with Chai for a one on one , hey shiva I know you're not an asshole , what's going on in that intense overthinking brain of yours , conversations. But noo

2. I wanted Krish to take raavi out on a platonic fun date, and ask her what was up , and what's got her so confused and lost . But nooooo.

Hell we haven't even had a full scale shivi and devta confrontation on what devta's actions meant for the family. I mean this is just close your eyes and let's pretend we one big happy family.

3. At least show us shiva as being street smart and savy and good with negotiating wholesalers . A knack for knowing what's on the market . Idk

Something where his smarts don't come from a college degree. That's sexy. And fun

Also I KNOWN PS was based on small town grocery store concept in tiny town. But somnath is not tiny. Adapt. Even tiny towns these days have fancy plastic things and dust catchers and fun snacks more than just groceries . And gpay , and home delivery.

With rishita, dev and raavi and (krish too ? Or am I wrong?) being college educated ,you'd think they'd have bright ideas for the store

Expand it online. Offer monthly specials . Set up a small section where home made ,locally sourced goods are sold. Offer a tiny make up counter. Idk stationery section, with arts and craft classes for kids or something. (The classes for kids wouldve been a great lead in to to dhara.not yet mom track ngl).

Does nobody else find it weird as hell that none of these people have identities beyond being pandya? You don't have a bros hanging out with their friends or dhara chilling . And when rishita and raavi do have a life outside their family ,it becomes a source for drama ya khand.

With it being called pandya store ,there's shockingly little on the business/store angle ,unless it's a family relates khaand. Almost like the store is a prop of some type, just to hide that this just a joint family drama .

Also if y'all want to make Anita a obsessive ,crazed villain. Think again. This is PS not beyhadh, I mean STAP WITH THE oil. Please I beg , give Krish something to do. Some track. Some point in existing beyond bro#3.

Suman gets gold in toxic mom in law. She's not quirky or funny. She toxic rn. Wtf is calling dhara baghodi ke beeti , belittling rishita 24/7 ???

I know rishita is NOT easy to love . But if I'm honest I like her a whole lot. She's honest , and volatile and hot headed and so confused. Not sure where she belongs or what to do. The marriage must have been something of a culture shock , and nobody gives her room to adjust. Or even a hug, without lecturing her.ugh. she's ballsey calling the pandyas out on their bs. She reminds me a little of shiva sometimes.

Honestly, I watch it because they mostly act well , it looks pretty but mostly I watch cause I love how smort and interesting the discussion and takes on the DT are . And that's about it.
