A running tally of lies: Adi-Imile v/s Malini

Since lying is suddenly becoming a sticking point for maligning Adi-Imlie😆.....I think it's worth compiling a running list of CONTRAST and comparisons about the REASONS why certain characters lied.

1) Imlie lied her first day in T house by claiming she is a maid rather than admitting she is Adi's wife. Why? In order to spare Adi from having to face questions about her.

2) Adi tried to tell the truth to Malini about his forced marriage with Imlie but after Malini promptly had a huge fainting spell, Adi lied that Imlie means nothing to him so that Malini's ego can continue to be stoked and her constantly frail health doesn't get worse.

3) Imlie lied that a poem she had herself written was actually a poem that Malini wrote for Adi. Why? Because she wanted to patch up a fight between Adi and Malini.

4) Imlie asked Adi to lie about their marriage in PD in order to avoid giving stress to her Mom and to spare his life from being in danger in PD.

5) Adi asked Imlie to lie to his family when leaving the house so that they don't get upset about her leaving

These are a few I can remember off the top of my head but the CLEAR PATTERN in all these lies is that they were lies to PROTECT OTHERS.....lies to spare pain to others, lies to give happiness to others.....Yes, lying is still wrong....but CONTEXT is important.

Then let's flip the page to the other black end of the spectrum.....a running list of Malini's lies:

1) Malini lied that she blindly trusts Adi - from day one, she's been passing twisted comments about how he will supposedly leave her for someone else. She was saying this even before he left for PD and met Imlie for the first time.

2) Malini lied that she is in love with some Kunal Chauhan in order to guilt trip Adi into confessing a supposed EMA with Imlie

3) Malini lied that she wanted to hear the truth from Adi even though she always kept looking for excuses related to her health etc. to delay events

4) Malini lied that she has fully accepted Adi-Imlie's relationship. Firstly no one asked her to accept this relationship😆....she was simply INFORMED of the TRUTH that Adi is already married to Imlie and only considers her his valid wife. After that she twisted the narrative to claim she was giving acceptance to something when no one demanded it of her.

5) Malini lied that she wants the divorce in order to let Adi-Imlie be together. The truth is that she flung the divorce option at Adi to stop him from going to find Imlie....but when that didn't work, she was stuck with seeing it through once she had initiated it.

6) Malini lied to go to PD, then lied to everyone in PD that she is some Kalpana teacher from Imlie's college in order to manipulate Mithi to reveal who is Imlie's father.

7) Malini lied multiple times to Adi that she hopes his family accepts Imlie soon when she was clearly enjoying the fact that Imlie was struggling for acceptance

8) Malini continued to lie to multiple people that Adi supposedly loved her before....even after Adi categorically told her multiple times that he has realized it was never love between them, only a friendship.

9) Malini lied and faked a second suicide in order to get sympathy and entry into Adi's house

10) Malini climbed into Adi's bed without his consent and then lied the next morning that she had no idea how she got there

11) Malini pretended to be Imlie in order to give a head massage to Adi and then lied that she showed up cuz she couldn't see him in pain

12) Malini lied to Imlie that she wants to support her for the party and then proceeded to sabotage her with a dress/bad makeup so that she is humiliated in the party

13) Malini lied to Adi-Imlie yet again that she supports their relationship when she is actually in their house to break their relationship and try to get Adi back to her.

14) Malini lied to Imlie that she considers her her chhoti behen but she goes around telling others that Imlie puts on a bechaari act to garner sympathy from others - so that's clearly two faced of Malini.

Phew, this is just a small sample.....I'm sure there's many other examples that will get added in the coming days too as Malini's lies get more shameless and brazen.

So I think it's obvious from these two lists that Adi-Imlie lied in order to protect others from pain....while Malini is repeatedly lying to hurt/harm others and cause them pain in order to satisfy her own ego/demands.

The proof is in the pudding if anyone cares to open their eyes to the obvious😆

A MUCH NEEDED thread so thanks you for listing it out and doing dhoodh ka dhoodh and paani ka paani.. it is too easy for people to conviniently unsee the INTENTION. Which is the key behind any action.. one cannot just equate both the situations because they are Not the SAME never were..there is a huge difference in lying for the sake of your benefit and to Protect someone else..

And every Faith also tells you ke kisi ki achaai ke liye bola jhoot is not really jhoot if the intention is not to harm so yeah am not defending anybody here but the fact that adi imlie always were guilty they always hated themselves to say more in order to protect others from hurt.. adi and imlie has stewed enough under the guilt for so long that only now they are feeling good caz they are free finally.. they have always loathed themselves for lying unlike this didi who takes pride sar aur oocha karti hai.. ghamnd karti hai apne lies pe.. that is the other major difference. She has this I am invincible look and aura .. she feels like she is the GOD for real who can control sabki lives and they are her puppets

While adi and imlie have always maintained ke sach ki apni bhasha hai sach baahar aata hi hai no matter how much you want to dabao it kahin na kahin se raasta dhoond hi leta hai caz it is the ultimate.. it is the light and has its way to come and reveal itself while didi is total opposite she would lie at every given point and gloats and but as soon as it is about to come out runs away and thinks ke sach kabhi saamne nahi aata.. she is the one who feel victorious at her lies and gets ego boosts but dum dabba ke bhagti hai as soon as she fears it will come out..she cannot even be present to see the consequence and take it

Adi imlie nit have owned the lies with grace they are taking and always have taken and accepted the percussions gracefully too even of they have bee unfair like in this case of acceptance acceptance never run away from their lies unlike didi ji🤷‍♀️

Are Yaar, I was just thinking when she opens her mouth she lies. I had watched the first 175 episodes on a marathon weekend So I went back to check some back story and surprise of surprises😱Not! 😆Malini lies through her teeth. So much for AC’s “we sharifs don’t lie”.

When she’s not lying she’s scaring the Tripathis with her tantrums and antics all because Adi hadn’t called her. A child could come up with a better excuse for a tantrum.

She’s emotionally a teenager or worse. Was shocked that Adi actually considered marrying her at all. when it came to selecting a marriage partner his investigative skills went out the window. Her lie about KC just flew over his head and he didn’t once think she may be bluffing,

When someone lies this much there is a saying in Tamil “Porandha idame poi”🙄

You touched on the light and dark. Certainly where I come from, even as a child I was taught that white lies, which Adi and Imlie make, are acceptable as they are to save others from distress - goes along with the saying 'what they don't know can't hurt them'.

However Malini's lies are black and get blacker.

The only nasty one of Aditya if I remember correctly was when Imlie first arrived, and he threatened her that if she dared to tell the truth he would deny it and she would be thrown out of the house, but later he was sorry for this as when she got shot he was crying when he had to wash off her sindoor.

Malini even wanted Aditya to lie (and say he was not married to Imlie) and KC to lie about their non - relationship and her divorce plans.

Yes, quite clear who is the villain here!

Adi lied to Malini….about Imli not being on the bus to PD and going to Jamshedpur. He took off for PD where he realized he was in love with Imli. He lied again from PD about being in Jamshedpur for a couple more days. All for good reason.

No, I wouldn't put these lies in the same category.....Adi lied to Malini at that point cuz he was still confused about what to do next after realizing his feelings for Imlie.

But the basic point holds that he didn't tell any lie to HARM Malini or to cause her pain....while Malini's every lie has been to cause pain to others and prove herself superior.
