Yeah, he refused that Mandhar could be alive and yes, of course nobody returns from the dead unless this is a supernatural story. However, it turns out that Mandhar was really Mandhar (to be honest I really don't like it and was hoping he was a doppelgänger really and had him as a con artist trying to scam Pallavi and Raghav and the rest of the family or something), and he didn't die, they just thought him to die.
