He is a flawed character after all and that's how it is shown...

But I would say he is a lot better' than the usual ITV ML shown out there .

Yeah, Raghav himself and everybody around him are well aware of his flaws. Unlike everybody, he never claimed that he was perfect, he openly told that yes he was flawed, and therein contained the actual charm of his character.

ITV MLs are always shown to be perfect, when they are not. They think making mistakes, character assassinations, financially controlling the FL is a show of manliness and a simple apology is the solution to all crap and the FL is shown to accept it. I think Raghav for all his flaws never tried to do all this which is typically shown as revenge tactics. Impulsive is his character flaw and he is strong enough to accept it.

One small disagreement - I actually think ITV MLs are mostly always shown to be flawed BUT they are rarely held accountable for their mistakes. At most you'll see a small sorry, or a slight cry fest / whining by the ML, and then the FL forgives him, and then they move on only for the same issue to happen again.

With Raghav it wasn't just that he accepted/recognized his own flaws and was openly not trying to be a perfect guy. It was that he essentially owned up to his mistakes and rectified them. He had an entire month long redemption arc. MLs often get 1 crying scene and then they get forgiveness. I think that's what makes him more appealing. He didn't just get Pallavi's love for no reason.

I would say that was also because he may have just acted on his 6th sense of not trusting her ex. He knew how desperate P was to get info on M and P had waxed poetic about M several times. He did that to show M that hey, P is married to someone else now. It wasn't so much about P being R's wife, but that P was no longer M's wife.

Yeah this is an extremely valid point.

While the ML never learns a lesson, the FL is expected to be tyaag ka murat and forgive him because he is the "husband". What rubbish.

Yeah, perfect analysis. Raghav more than anything is willing to rectify his mistakes. Owning up and rectifying them, trying to hold through the promise makes him one of a kind.

Pallavi actually slaps him after getting to know the truth. You rarely find such scenes in ITV. 😆

Raghav shares really good bond with several characters

I would choose for Farhad and Pallavi. Both are completely accepting and peaceful characters.

Farhad has a huge part of his past. Have seen him at his worst. Completely broken down.

Pallavi is his future and shares that connection that Farhad cannot fill up (Ani.. behave.. 😆)

Then there is Amma.. The bond between mother and son is also special. She knows him so well. No matter what happens, their love will be unconditional (and he would never throw her of the balcony....)

@blue: Raghav refuses to believe that Mandaar could be alive. You will remember what he did say to Amma. That this was no show and dead people couldn't come back. He thought somebody was scamming Pallavi or that she was imagining things and that more than anything was the reason for his aggressiveness. Second he is naturally agrressive. Woh shaant baitne waalon se nahi hai.

@maude: He has several bad experiences with the Deshmukhs especially with Sulochana. She tried to frame him, so he is naturally aware of her scheming , planning and plotting. He wouldn't believe her if she was the last person on earth. He knew she was trying to create differences and he dealth with them the way he knew best.

Exactly, Pallavi is the first one to claim that only Raghav is her husband and no one else.

You will realise his natural insecurities due to their marriage circumstances gave him fuel to these thoughts.

He is an extremely possessive towards peope he loves and expecting him to be calm when something like that, an out of blue occurence is asking for the impossible.
