like my college was in Punjab, stayed there for 5.5 yrs. I didn’t really need to learn punjabi to sustain because everybody knew Hindi /English.
But I not only learned speaking Punjabi, but read and write as well. I had my own reasons/ motivation 😆

Now every time I go to the asian grocery store and I hear korean, I just naturally turn around as if they're speaking to me bc I can understand a bit of what they're saying 🤣
