Current format of the torture task is unfair for 1st attacker team

The current format of torture task is very unfair for the team that attacks first or gets tortured 2nd. Lets call it team A and the team that is tortured first as team B. Team A always has disadvantages. Team A doesn't know how hard they should go and the team B is hell bent on revenge no matter if the team A was gentle or not.

It should be simultaneous. Divide each team in 2 parts and one will attack, one will defend. Suppose A1 is attacking B1 and B2 is attacking A2. Which team goes brutal gets repaid on the spot. It can also be strategic that you don't torture us, we won't torture you.

Day 2. Just reverse this order. No unfair advantage to anyone.

Tagging few of the regulars for their opinions. 😆

Having both teams go simultaneously would be more exciting. Both teams would be pressured to increase the intensity of the torture depending on how the other team acts/reacts. I would add an additional rule that the teams have 30 seconds (or some finite amount of time) to torture someone. That way teams should come prepared with a mental, mutually agreed upon list of ways to torture so they can quickly vary the intensity of the torture depending on the reaction.

The alternative would be for Team A to go extreme from the get go, such that anything Team B does would have to be a lesser reaction in comparison [ground rules would be established by both teams in advance - I'd personally be opposed to lip contact of any sort. Sorry Neha, but I don't know where your lips have been]. That seems like the best way for Team A to have any sort of "advantage". Team B will get revenge as a given, even if Team A is soft on them because a) they have full control with no risk of facing torture again and b) it would popularize them more because Team A's performance would be considered far more boring than Team B (and I would argue people would weigh the entertainment of torture on a higher scale than of tolerance).

I actually always had problem with this format. No matter how the first team plays the second team will always try more.

I kind of liked how BB let Raqesh and Pratik choose their team members. BB toh woh bhi nahin deta. 😆 Even then BB is most of the time unsuccessful in breaking the groups. 🤣

@Bold black - Kyu BB ke footage pe laath maar rahe ho? Torture task is like BB's star performer for footage and you are suggesting ceasefire even before the battle has begun? Yeh BB kabhi hone nahi dega.

However ideally speaking your suggestion seems very appropriate. I think though this might not be done probably due to technical reasons perhaps? Like editing waalo ke liye dono teams ko dikhana with equal footage and no confusion shayad difficult ho in a short time?

Also chances are attacking team attack karne ke bajaaye apne team ko defend karne mai lag jaaye? Might create a lot of confusion. It's not like there is any less confusion in BB's tasks...but still giving it a benefit of doubt.

Also badle ki aag in the first tortured team the next day makes for good content according to BB.

Just remembered wasn't this format already tried in Shukla's season? Where Dey and Paras were in one team and Abu and Asim in other and they sat for their torture together.

Edit - Though Shukla ke season mai I guess aise rakha because BB nahi chahta tha Shukla torture task mai at recieving end ho. Without torture Shukla ka itna bhayanak roop dekhne milta tha, torture hota toh contestants chodo seedha jaake BB ko fodd ke aata Shukla.

That's true - and it's always been the case. If the team torturing first goes light, then the second team will nonetheless go hard, because - you had your chance, how's it my problem if you didn't go for it? Mahaanta ka keeda and all. And if the first team goes hard, they get vilified by the team getting tortured + the team going second ko free pass mil jaata hain tit for tat ke naam pe - i.e. they will not be vilified for the same stuff.

So yeah - the team torturing first is always at a disadvantage. And so in theory - your suggestion is ideal. But like @WTF said above - it may not work for operational reasons, but also because there's too many variables in the way of what BB's endgame is - i.e. meri ankh mein mirchi, meri beti ko gaali di, mere pati pe repellent dala, mere pe dettol wala paani daala etc etc 😆 😆 - BB ko drame se matlab hain - equal playing grounds and fairness se nahi - that's been apparent for a long long time now.

My issue isn't just with BB being hella UN-creative - with the same torture task every season - it's also that no contestant ever thinks out of the box to get people to move - it's always the same mirchi, and chemicals and falan dhimkan. And they're not even to blame - BB kaun sa appreciate karega fun, out of the box ideas - usko toh chillam chilli se matlab hain.

BB me sub kuch fair hone laga to ladaiyan kaise hongi 😆 I am sure this all comes to the makers' minds but as they want more content they design these tasks in such a way ki acha khasa banda junglee bann jae 😆
