Least problematic character.

Maddy : Didn't take wrong advantage of Reena. Kuch bhi kar sakta tha par nahi kiya.

Devdas : Didn't really do anything problematic apart from hitting Paro once to mark her forehead (kyunki chand mein bhi daag hota hain).

Radhe : Helped poor and needy people. Was a good samaritan... bad boy with a heart of gold.

Kundan : Realized what he did was wrong and repented for his mistakes, even ended up giving his life.

Kabir : College topper and studious student. Was successful in his profession.

Who is the least problematic character among these according to you and why?😆

It is really worst of worst. Quite a hard choice. I"ll go with Kundan.

He wears his heart on his sleeve and didn't pretend to be this noble and holy man in love. And he is also quite cunning. He is actually not too bad when compared to the others in this list.

Anyway I"ll say Maddy is the bottom of the barrel in this case. His self righteous in the end pissed off me the most.

Devdas. The guy only destroyed himself but didn’t harm anyone else.

Devdas mainly became a problem for himself. One bad decision and he punished himself to death for it. 🥺 Tragic character and least problematic in my opinion.

Maddy is the only one who doesn't crosses his boundaries with his love interest.

Doesn't that make him one of the better ones?

Yes i know that but it's still not as bad as what the other mentioned characters did.

Devdas was more self destructive.. than he did harm to others, he himself went through abuse a s kid, his relationship with his father was toxic right from childhood, he was too damaged already. (It's a lot like Wuthering Heights, except that Heathcliff & Catherine were ghastly characters who also destroyed others around them). Paro and Devdas were soulmates, their love for each other almost transcendental. While Paro knew how to move on and would like to see him move on - Devdas' fragile soul fell apart when Paro got married.. he came all undone..

I think Maddy wasn't that awful either but his character and the movie is a bit too unrealistic. I don't think it's possible to fall in love with someone so easily.

Devdas was pretty problematic. He was a narcissist who led Paro on, and when his snooty mother insulted her mother and her family, instead of apologising to them he starts mind games with Paro. Calls her vain. Tries to make her feel guilty for saving her face and marrying the other guy. Makes passive aggressive comments when she visits. Acts as if HE was the victim and the only one. Leads Chandramukhi on and uses her. At the end when his organs gave up on him he has the nerve to use Paro's address not thinking about how it would affect her marriage and reputation.
