When i watched this movie as a kid, i felt Manisha's character was selfish for leaving her husband and kid.. but now as am older, I'm able to understand her perspective...when i watched the movie recently, i felt that Aamir was the actually the selfish one..he never gave any importance to her career or ambition and expected her to take care of the house and kid like a dutiful wife...
I loved Aamir-Manisha's chemistry and also the child's scenes with his parents ❤️
Even the ending was crap. Aamir gave a big lecture on how he was the 'best father' to his son and made Manisha feel guilty about leaving them and in the end Manisha left her career for her family. Basically, the movie gave this message that a woman hasto forget her career after marriage and children. If she doesn't she's selfish and a man should never be questioned for not letting his wife pursue her career. But then this was 90s movie. It was still better than Raja Hindustani though and the songs were really awesome, specially the title track and Raja ko rani se pyaar ho gaya.
