After Guide I think of Solva Saal. Viewing it gave me immense joy and my knees literally felt wobbly. Even the remaining Dev-Waheeda flicks aren't far behind. 🤩

The immortal song Abhi na jao chhod Kar is testimonial to his chemistry with Sadhna. Indeed, he shared a delightful chemistry with almost every lady he worked with.

You should watch Tere Ghar ke saamne. He and Nutan are delightful!

Paying guest too! The movie isn’t great but Dev and Nutan are ! O nigahein mastana! ☺️❤️

I think most people think of Guide when they think of Dev- Waheeda. But I love them in Kala Bazaar. The scene where she rescues him from the cliffs! Damn!!

And Kala Pani scenes with Madhubala are just sooooo electric! I love how smitten he is at first and then it’s her turn!😆 “Mehmaan toh sirf ghar mein rehte hain par aap na jaane kahan kahan chale aa gaye!” ☺️

He and Sadhna are great too! He pretty much had good chemistry with all the leading ladies he worked with!

wow! U really are a huge dev fan... haan?

I fell in love with him in 2009 when i first watched solva saal

Dev was my first celluloid B&W era crush.😆 Along with Shammi. It took me a while longer to get into Dilip and Raj. Let’s say I’ve never really outgrown that crush though I cannot abide by the flat haired Dev of the 70s. 😆I love the poofy haired one!

Can you ask for it to be closed plz. There is another Sheep thread and ppl keep chatting so its always clogging first page. I dont think same group of ppl need 2 threads to chat same things in both threads.

I don't think people are chatting about the same things! This is a Retro thread so the topics of chatting are theme-related mostly, though some people may still chat about other things. But that is upto them!

Oh I love Shammi! He was a complete entertainer. His movies did have stalkerish elements that could be problematic in this day and age, but he has that cheeky winsomeness that makes him so hard to resist - for me, at least!

I liked him upto Teesri Manzil I think. Geeta's death really took a toll on him.
