On a different day, this would become the controversial hot topic of the day. But today, marriage counseling is resting comfortably at #1
Names like Aurangzeb, Taimur, and Jehangir are absolutely well-suited names in countries other than India. It's almost equivalent to naming someone after Hitler in Israel and the USA or Europe
These Kings have harmed and killed people and destroyed hundreds of temples. They remind the Indian population of the atrocities which were done by these Moghul Kings on their country's people.
To understand this sentiment, one has to be an Indian citizen or should have grown up in India. Indians don't have any issue with the Muslims or their names, it's certain and specific names. We are used to Muslim names, we have Muslim friends, Muslim family members too, inter-religious marriages are also legal. When a person lives in a Secular country one is expected to be sensitive to all communities unlike countries with one uniform religion.
I understand it's hard for some IF members to relate to this, but it is what it is. Kareena and Saif have selected names they have liked and loved them. As parents, they have a right to do so, at the same time they have shown their fans and people how indifferent they are. And not to worry, this trolling as some like to call it will also stop after a while.
I don't expect Indian Forum members from other countries to understand or relate to this, but things are not as simple in India as it is in other countries. The least people can do is be civil to each other's posts.
No offense meant to any Religion, Community, Country, or any of the fans.
People were teasing Saif and Kareena, it would be Babur or Aurangzeb for their second child. So they chose the most suitable one out of these Mughal Emperors.
We love Taj Mahal. Shah Jahan built it for his beloved wife.
But he cut fingers and hands of the workers who actually built it so they couldn't construct another Taj Mahal thing.
It's only these Moghul emperors were having good names to their credit.
Saif and Kareena love these names, happy and satisfied, so good for them. Eventually they didn't do any crime or anything illegal. Public has been trolling them, now they are trolling public through their kid's names. That's why so much controversy around their names.
An interview of Kareena's comes to mind quite often where it concerns her relationship with Said where she said she's like Dolly from Omkara. A total pushover in love.
Where is her choice in all this..

Similarly majority of people fawning over Taimur in social media are Hindus.
Actually, they are Indians first and then Hindus.
Lol, I think they ended up picking two names that have royal and old school significance but also could have Western nicknames therefore Tim and Jeh.

but Jehangir is not infamous like taimur, so what's the issue. Like pointed out in another thread; there's a branch of hospitals in Pune named Jahangir Hopsital, do I'm assuming this name is perfectly well accepted in India.

Isreal rakhta, powerful aur unqiue bhi hota.
They would still be getting trolled, just by a different group. Shayad fatwa bhi lag jaata, and even more attention. But itās easier and more safe to tease the majority.
For me, it's the album of the year, every single song is so good! Hats off to sashwat for such a fantastic album! Songs have been on loop....
