Bingo. Ishwari is somewhat comfortable because Dev isn't swooning over Sona right now. Let him pay one ounce of attention to her, she will be chugging a bottle of sleeping pills.

Ishwari and Elena both seek attention. Although Ishwari only wants it from "her Dev" and now "her chota Dev".

I did remember at the start of the season, Dev tells Ishwari about Ayush and that they should take some time bringing him home. Ishwari asks if that was Sona's suggestion and when Dev replies in the affirmative, she quickly shoots it down and has him bring Ayush right away.

Sonakshi seems to have put up a lot with Dev and his mother's tantrums... all for "love".

See had this been an English soap... people would have predicted the male lead to be cheating on his wife...but this is an Indian show...they will show the male lead doing all sorts of nonsense but cheat on the female lead.

It will be interesting to know the reason for the distance between them ...even if I don't know their background story.

The context is severely missing. Because throughput the previous seasons, Dev-Sona have been crazy in love with each other. They had some terrible terrible fights, but even through those, they were very much into each other. They never moved on even after being apart for 7 years. So much bitterness, distance, betrayal, misunderstanding...but even at their lowest, they were madly in love. That's how the previous seasons were and that is how the audience left them.

So for them to come back with so much distance is weird. The audience lacks context, the reason, especially since they have been together for a very short time since their reunion. How can two people so much in love just drift apart? It's hard to empathize.

The makers should have started the season with the context, how they are drifting away, how things are progressing, so the viewers can travel on that journey with them, have the context and thus root for them and their relationship.

Right now, it's ridiculous. 3 months of dating, breakup, married for a few months, separated for 7 years, reunited for a couple years and have major emotional distance due to communication gaps. This is such nonsense. Especially since the foundation of their whole relationship was communication. They talked for hours. Some one said, this season is not abt devakshi itseems. It seems this season is abt parenting children. So they will mainly concentrate on how devakshi n esh parenting are different.

Only consolation is, her mother-in-law is understanding and supporting her a lot better than Sona's. I will give GKB full points for that. Ishwari gives a headache with her superiority complex and never-ending lectures on motherhood. 🤮

We, as audience think they are doing fine, because the show is about Devakshi lull in their chemistry. But I don't think they are doing so great. They weren't doing great even after the 7 year leap, with the constant fights and arguments.

I agree she is seeking attention from random strangers but I doubt it is because she is actually unhappy in her married life..

For me, the initial promo of Devakshi losing the spark in their marriage after some years seems more probable in Elena's case. Vicky, for all his flaws & faults, seems to have settled down comfortably his married life. They do have their share of arguments & fights as every married couple do but nothing major has really rocked their boat. Over a period of time, they have reached a plateau in their married life and Elena seems to be seeking an escape from the mundane life. She has always been an extrovert & fun loving girl. So she might have been yearning for something more exciting in her life. Her youtube channel has brought back some zest in her life along with the excitement of a newly found celebrity status. She is enjoying the attention she is receiving from her fans & chatting with them seems to have brought in some excitement & spice in her life & relieved her from the boredom of a mundane existance. However If in his obsession for her, the stalker ends up harming Vicky to get him out of the way or if it threatens their marriage, I am sure she will be the first one to fight tooth & nail against him & save her marriage.

Sonakshi on the other hand is married to the love of her life. But unfortunately for her, she has a MIL who has doesn't allow her son to live his life & keeps on interfering in their personal life to the extent that it has become difficult for Sona to even take any decisions relating to her family. Her MIL interferes even when Sona decides something for her children; - be it their upbringing or healthy food habits, etc. She is constantly accused of being a bad mother to her children by her MIL while her beloved husband just stands & watches the going ons. He hardly ever takes a stand for his wife when it comes to opposing his mom's wishes. He doesn't even hear her when she wants to share her feeling & fears with him nor does he want to share any of his ( personal or professional) burden with her. This is not how a successful marriage works. A marriage can be successful only if there is trust, two way communication, love & respect for each other, respect for the opinions expressed even if they agree to disagree on the right way of handling a certain situation. Dev seems oblivious to her fears, concerns & apprehensions even when it is concerning their kids. Sonakshi on the surface seems to have accepted her fate by compromising on her self respect but there is so much anger, hurt, frustration at both her MIL & her husband bottled down under the surface which is going to erupt one fine day when her tolerance point is reached. She seems really unhappy & feels unloved right now. Unloved because though Dev expresses verbally he loves her a lot & needs her in his life, it doesn't translate into action. Her kids are the only ones who seem to bring happiness & solace in her life. The only thing which most probably is stopping her from walking out of their marriage is her immense love for Dev & her belief & faith that Dev too loves her a lot. But however much in love they may be, a marriage cannot survive only on love. It needs all the ingredients mentioned above in bold for their marriage to succeed. It didn't survive in the 1st season when they both were so much visibly in love nor will it survive this time unless for a start they handle Ishwari's interference in their personal life as a team & Dev ensures he takes stands for her each time his maa insults her.

Ps : I should have said that Elena seems to be in a better space/ place in her married life than Sona instead of using the term " happily married " in my previous post. I apologize for that.😅🤗

(low key feel both vicky and dev have inconcsistent writing, when not fighting dev is far better but he gaslightsetc. vicky however didn't let elena meet her family for years, didn't give her attention for years, is sexist and greedy)

so i do think elena did end up with a bad deal but she's equally as terrible a person so imo they fit, but she is stupid she putting her family also at risk. internet fans are toxic in general but her actions are also extremely problamatic.

Vicky isn't a great guy but he turned out to be much better husband ( & a better person after he realized his error of ways & apologized to Dev in season1) than we all expected him to be When Elena married Vicky, I thought he will make her life miserable with his womanizing ways & ill treat her as we knew how he used to harass & speak disrespectfully to both Sona & Elena prior to his marriage to Elena. But once he married her, he never looked at another woman. Also he took a stand for her, right from the start of his married life due to which GKB has always been careful to maintain cordial relation with her DIL & give her respect as her son's wife.

I would say compared to Vicky, Dev is 100 times better than Vicky nature wise. Dev has great number of flaws but he is genuinely a great guy & pure hearted. Unfortunately for him, his mother has proved to be a toxic influence in his life & because of it, his relationship with others suffered & his life has been a total mess and Sonakshi had to bear the major brunt of it.

I don't think Vicky ever stopped Elena from meeting her family. It was Elena who didn't bother to keep in touch with the Bose family once they were evicted from their house.. I remember in season 1 there were so many posts made regarding her forgetting completely about the Bose family post Devakshi's separation & how selfish she was.😅

Danger is lurking ahead for Elena but she totally deserves it for not exercising caution while chatting online with random strangers inspite of Sona too warning her about how dangerous it was to do so!😓

she said something about not giving her proper attention, around the same time when he was about to slap her idk ab what episode

Actually I wanted to see this. But when they will show? Or we shd assume in our imaginary world?

At IG, someone said this season is not abt devakshi n feelings for each other. We must not expect this in this season and it's all abt difference in parenting betwn 2 generation.

Guess I didn't pay much attention to Vicky & Elena's track in season 1. My total focus was on Devakshi & their love story in season.1..😅😆

I think they may get to it by the end of this season. If not, there is always hope in season 4.🤣
