Do you want a material answer or a spiritual answer to this question?

Ok so first of all The Uttar Ramayana was not included in the original Valmiki Ramayana! It was later added and there are various opinions about this!

Sri Ram is the Original Personality of Godhead, Narayan and Mata Sita is the Goddess of Fortune, Lakshmi so it is impossible for her to leave him under any circumstances ! She always resides in the heart of Narayan!

And after hearing the allegations of Dhobi against Maa Sita, Sri Ram was very much disturbed and when Mata Sita got to know about this, she herself left Ayodhya! Lord Rama never abandoned her! Lord Rama even tried to stop her but she went to the ashram of Valmiki Muni! Lakshman went to drop her there! Lord Rama loved and respected Mata Sita a lot! He crossed an entire ocean, destroyed the entire clan of Ravana to get her back! Even after Mata Sita went to Rishi Valmiki's ashram Lord Rama never remarried instead he built golden murtis of Sita so he could perform the yajnas! Mata Sita left him bcoz she gave more importance to the Raja dharma of Lord Rama! She said to him that he is a king first so it's his duty to make some sacrifices for the kingdom!

Yes...i myself agree to this

And as a king he shudnt opt for his personal feelings but shud do everything to serve his praja...and we have seen what happens to ppl if their king/govt opt personal happiness over their ppls' welfare

And i liked the spiritual interpretations too..

Lord Rama never suspected his wife and will never do that...but as the king its his duty to earn the prajas' trust and do everything in service to them to maintain that trust...and there he opted his subjects over his wife...

It pains me to know that nowdays children and ppl say that they prefer ravan to lord rama or duryodhan to arjun/lord krishna...I have been part of such discussions..i just wanted to know other opinions and thoughts

Exactly i have heard ppl saying that although Ravan kidnapped Sita, he never touched her! Ruko zara sabar karo... Tumhe toh puri kahani pata hi nhi!! Let me tell you the whole story... So Ravana tried to rape an apsara (her name was Rambha maybe, I don't remember exactly) and she escaped and cursed Ravana that if he ever tries to touch any woman without her permission , he would be burnt to ashes;

And so Ravana didn't touch Mata Sita!

Amazing thoughts Paru and Swastii ❤

@bold - Well, preferring Ravan over Ram is something I kinda don't agree with but I do like Ravan as well, here Rama follows his dharms and opts his subjects whereas Ravan selfishly destroyed his own kingdom with the abduction of Sita for his sister.. He definitely loved his sister to bits I believe.

A story mostly is written from a protagonist's view, I've read some articles on Jain monk Vimalasuri's version of Ramayana, where Ravan is not completely negative, there Sita is his daughter whom he leaves on a river shore fearing the fall of his kingdom after her birth after consulting with a muni. He leaves her covered on a river, (just like Karna) but he keeps an eye on her wherever she is. He learns of the vanvas and brings her to Lanka. And Lakshman kills Ravan in this version after which Rama explains Lakshman to understand a father's perspective as well..

Totally random but that showed Ravan's side as well..

Ravana didn't abduct Sita in order to take revenge for Shurpnakha! He abducted her bcoz she was beautiful and he wanted to make her his! 🙂
