You know, to be honest, I think both were clueless the first time. Saif is no intellectual. I think he just knew Taimur was an emperor and he is absurdly proud of being a nawab so he would choose a royal name for sure. But the second time around, they would have definitely done some google searches to know what names mean after the heavy trolling from last time.

If they chose something like Jehangir, it's definitely on purpose now. Maybe they thought they were sticking it to the haters or something. Celebs are stupid as shit.

Why though? It's not the Muslim-ness of the name that's the problem here. Muslim names can be beautiful and like many Hindu names they can be used in a secular sense too if you go by the meaning. Like Khairunnisa or Imran or Altaaf.

Muslim names aren't a problem. Muslim names belonging to problematic Muslim personalities, certainly is.

Kareena is not Muslim unless she secretly converted. You'd expect her child to have some connection to the mother's heritage also. It's not surprising that people get pissed when one parent's background is completely erased. It's their choice to do as they wish but then I think they should keep quiet about being liberal/secular and all that if your actions don't match your words.
