Good Newz was not blockbuster.
And it had Akshay, Kiara and Diljit too.
When did Diljit become major star? and by the way Kiara and him were more of second leads.
Good Newz made 200 cr in India and nearly 300 cr world wide, it was declared a Super Hit in India Boxoffice alone, Like it or not Alia have never matched these figures in her entire career
Veer Di Wedding had 11 cr opening day which is still a dream for Depika, it was released just a year before Good Newz.

Katrina is about the same level as Deepika, prob. Kareena maybe not so much anymore. Same for Priyanka. I'm not sure where Raveena comes into the pic in this scenario, but if you're willing to pay her as much as Deepika for a project, you should go right ahead.
on the contrary out of three kareena is the only one who proved her standing with veere di wedding ki and ka and recently good newz while both deepika and katrina gave delivered flops
Hit flop ratios don't matter. Sometimes people forget every flop of yours and remember the one hit you gave. Some people cannot become popular despite giving multiple hits. Amisha Patel has 2 huge hits in her kitty -- KNPH and Gadar. Gracy Singh too -- MB and Lagaan. Yet they were not even that popular in their prime. Kareena had a flop phase that ran for like 6 years, but she was like the 2nd most bankable star at that point.
I am no Deepika fan. In fact I never watched any of her movies properly, so don't even know if she's a good actress or not. However, I do know that she's hugely popular with the audience, regardless of her hits or flops.
Just because a movie flopped doesn't mean it was a bad movie or she didn't perform well. I do think Karthik Calling Karthik, Aarakshan, Finding Fanny, Tamasha, and Chhapaak are in the grey zone. I find them underrated good movies.
As for the topic, no one is above flops. They are a constant reminder of the fickle nature of the industry and being smarter about your choices. No one should be defined by their flops either. Almost every big star has a string of flops at some point or another.
