The thing is that most folks in Mumbai live in residential apartments, and they're controlled by societies.

In general, no one likes to give their flat out on rent to someone from the TV industry (not saying it's good or bad, just the way it is).

The society uncles would have a hissy-fit if psycho fans (especially females) turned up at his door in the middle of the night! 😆

If he owned his flat, it's not so much of an issue, but if it's on rent, they'll ensure he doesn't get an extension! Remember Shagun's interview of how difficult it's been for her to get a flat in Mumbai?

I love the scene between Sonu and Ahaan. It was very moving. At the end of the day they can only truly confide in each other about their shared pain and longing for their mom. ❤️

Post leap it is these heart-to-hearts between the Malhotra siblings and Ishqaan I enjoyed most.

I don't know why people like Lokhandwala, Andheri. I think all struggling actors new actors live there because of production houses offices and film city is also not so far. These places are just too crowded. In Bandra also, only bandstand area where SRK lives is good. South Bombay is the best but is very expensive. If I ever want to live in Mumbai, it has to be South Mumbai. I also like Matunga in some parts, it has lot of Parsi culture and greenary. I wish I earn enough money to afford a place in Mumbai. 😆.

Same. Ahaan and Sonu's flaws have been the most realistic from the start. Ishqi has flaws too, but they're often overlooked by viewers. Anither reason why I love reading the discussions around Ahaan's pov in comparison to Ishqi's.

If you make Mumbai a north-south city, Lokhandwala and Andheri are more northern areas.

But essentially, where you live (especially if you owned a flat) is a function of when your forefathers came to the city. If you live in SoBo (South Bombay), your ancestors would've probably been there since 1950, perhaps even earlier.

The more northern you live, the later you would've arrived in the city.

If you look at the folks from Super Dancer and other reality shows, they live in the real northern parts of the city ("technically" not Mumbai, but the railway lines go there). Essentially an indication that they arrived in Mumbai post 2010.

Bold- also helps that the airport is relatively near these places. All your major shooting studios (Filmcity, Filmistan, Killick Nixon) are easier to access from here than SoBo.

I've also seen a good chunk of TV folks live in the Goregaon-Kandivali belt. India Forum's office is actually in Malad!
